A further look at Hibiscus share price chart, I just realize that the last time Hibiscus traded around 0.84 was when Brent trading at around 80. Looking at brent at 104 now, wonder what went wrong???

Just to share:
Hibis has to pay Petroleum Income Tax Act : 38%
Sabah State Sales Tax : 5% (If Hibis lose the case)
So total 43% tax on petroleum revenue? If oil price is USD100, then still can survive, when oil price drop to USD 60 or lower, is there still any profit left?

1. Oil price wont sustain at usd100. It will stabilise lower. Hibisc share price tracks oil price. Therefore it too will go lower.

2. Hibisc has come down below its 50 day n 200 day mvg avg. It is now on the verge of breaking down below its 400 day mvg avg at 0.835. A bearish Descending Triangle pattern has formed in the past 4 days. It will clearly fall below this 0.835.

3. When a stock falls below its 50, 200 n 400 day mvg avg in quick succession, it is in a long term downtrend. It will continue to go lower n lower n stay low for a long long time, as 400 day mvg avg is 400 days long, more than a year.

4. Another chart pattern formed for hibisc is that of a Bearish Inversion. It moved on a strong uptrend from 1.02 to 1.49. Once it fell to close below 1.02, it formed a Bearish Inversion pattern. This pattern target price is 0.55 being 1.02 - (1.49 - 1.02).

5. Its dispute with sabah state govt wont be resolved anytime soon because of large sum involved (rm90mil) and different intrepretation of laws by both parties. This will likely go to court for resolution and will drag on for months, leaving a dark cloud on sentiment. The state has authority over workers permit n has said they would revoked these permits by october. This would cripple hibisc operation n oil extraction work in sabah. Between now n then, sentiment will be negative. "Sell on anticipation, buy the news".

=> Sell/cut loss/stay away

For me personally oil price won’t stay below usd 100 and will make new high in the (future) Even tho all the talks about EV, clean energy etc etc. where is the source of energy come from? Still conventional fossil fuel.

Space X yet to send spaceship and build a solar panel nearby sun to extract energy much needed to power earth yet!!

MA 50, 100 and 200? You tell me which in the world is not under during times like this? This week mostly all strong powerhouseS making above MA 50 in USA. I believe eventually battered strong stocks will too in Malaysia

Such sensationalism.. Its all as if Sabah somehow is right and can just charge whatever it likes in tax. Even if there is a settlement it won't be anywhere near 97million.. If anything! Hibiscus has also said it can continue to operate with exist Sabah based staff albeit at reduced levels.. There will be a positive resolution.. PETRONAS is also involved, and all thwt goes with that
.What the market also continues to not undertsand though is Hibiscus DOESN'T SELL OIL AT BRENT PRICES, it also DOESN'T SELL GAS AT GAS PRICES.. Everything, and I me at everything, is being sold at a premium.. They are still transacting way WAY over US100 for oil and way WAY over US8 for gas.. Even today!! They will make at least as much this quarter as last.. RM 550million profit is my bet for 2 Quarters.. Now KS88 tell me again that Hibiscus is only worth 55 cents..that will he the ESP for this calender year!!!
