It takes long time for Malaysia to build a sizeable O&G company since Renong’s time. Petronas is stronger with record profits last year. They also need player like Sapura. They will help as seen before, by offering faster payment, guarantee to ease Sapura cash flow. Oil majors are boosting exploration projects after securing good profits last year. Beside the above initiative, there should be a merger between Mabel Sapnrg and Velesto Battleships making biggest O&G company in Malaysia as both are having the same shareholders which is PNB.
