has anyone heard before Bplant has 6 acres of land in Singapore Island? hope it is true. Bplant share issue only 2.24 billions, this land sold for RM2.5 Billion, it mean each share can get 117 sen. huat chai
We understand land in BPLANT is undervalued below replacement cost, but to compare with Singapore land value of RM416m per acre is a stretch, do share which parcel of land own by BPLANT can be valued at this RM416m per acre?
land is like any commodity, its price largely depend on demand and supply. Singapore being a ‘red dot’ country has very very limited land resources. As such land price in spore can go bizarre , but not in Malaysia. For plantation lands there is always recently transacted price as the basis for us to work on . Same apply to plantation land with development value .
@Asia88, Taann is predominately oil palm plantation company with some timber business too. It is OK to draw comparison between Bplant and Taann , but must use the right parameters . Compare PE instead of just the price or EPS, compare dividend yield (%) instead of just dividend amount, etc
Ya, Jayatiasa is same like Taann i, in both oil palm and timber . But there is huge difference in management quality and financial quality between the 2. Taann is far more superior.
TSH also announced September qtr results today. I would like to make comparisons between the 2 : TSH : Sept qtr EPS 3.27 sen Ytd EPS. 7.65 sen Sept qtr dividend Nil Ytd dividend Nil NA per share $1.14 (land in Indonesia ) Share price $1.17
Bplant Sept qtr EPS. 4.27 sen Ytd eps. 6.97 sen Sept qtr dividend 1.75 sen Ytd dividend 4.35 sen Na per share $1.19 ( land in Malaysia) Share price $0.715
below expectation., but, something is better than nothing one quarter dividend better than bank FD for one year at present price, if every quarter dividend is the same, it work out about 10% yearly income.
They follow back the YTD div payout against their policy. Anyway, if u read between the lines, apparently land disposal delayed to Q1 2022, to avoid RPGT?
Paying its 3rd dividend of 1.75 sen by 30th Dec 21. Total for this financial year is 4.35 sen. Final quarter profit will be the best, so can expect a better dividend than 3rd quarter, cheers.
