Berdasarkan trading volume Jumaat lepas yang hampir 31 juta, mungkin harga boleh naik lagi.

Who knows if the take over price is around 1.50 to 1.70/1.80?

Just my guess…

U can see, if u invest into Plantations it is like u r investing into past, present & future wealth all in one mah!

Past wealth
1. Suppose u buy into a plantation co with net cash per share at a price of rm 0.70 and this co has an nta of rm 1.20.....u r already benefiting from the past wealth by buying at a good discount loh!

2. Present wealth
Right now u are benefiting from its earnings of 6 sen per share and the div of 3 sen pa....thus giving u a decent earnings & dividend yield while u wait loh!
In addition....should the plantation co revalue its plantation currently....its nta could have been as high as Rm 1.80 giving u another potential higher margin of safety loh!

3. Future wealth.
Going fwd with continue development, economic growth, inflation and the company ability to grow its profit after deducting dividend payout......the future wealth of the co should grow every year......say in 7 yr time.....its value should be able to double loh!
Thus the plantation co u r holding with NAV of Rm 1.80......would have appreciated to Rm 3.60 NAV loh!

That how u invest in plantation....u buy 70 sen at a discount.............u get future wealth of rm 3.60 in 7 yrs time loh!

Very safe & steady investment strategy mah!

TSH may not be that good.. their land in indon. Might as well buy indon plantation stock at sg stock exchange. Some much better than TSH..

Look at putrajaya, nusantara took another 20 years to fully develop... TSH land there might not benefited so soon... 30 years time!!!

Spore shares i have also bought before like Wilmar, Goldenagri and Bumitama agri

These have very high borrowings plus they have lands in West, Central and South Kalimantan

Tsh on the other hand has sold assets and pared down debts from Rm1.46 billions to only Rm95 millions

Plus Tsh got 94,700 acres chun chun land in East Kalimantan where Indonesia is now constructing its New Admin Capital

to invest in TSH for its future land value (or future wealth as Calvin put it), I suggest you do thorough study about the Indonesian land code and practices for leasehold agriculture land that apply to foreigner in particular. The agriculture lands owned by foreigners are all leasehold for 30-35 years use only Legally speaking, the land shall be returned to the State upon expiry dates. Will the State grant lease extension especially if the lands are needed for development or has gone up in value considerably ??? If no lease extension, the residual land value will only go down year by year ( there is no future wealth). If lease extension is possible, at what cost will the extension be ??

Not too long ago , i have look into TSH and found out that all the leases are expiring between 2040 to 2051. The weighted average expiry year is by 2044. That means TSH only own the rights to use the land for another 20 years from now.

Does TSH fit into investing for future wealth ?

Just my view for your deliberation. Do you own homework.

he even made money selling MMAG at above Rm1.80

yes since hapseng in financial constrain it might do two things ..

1.use hs plant to pay more good dividends as hs plant is debt free and cash rich just like Boustead got Rm7 billions debt bomb and needed high cash dividend from bplant

2. or follow Ijm corp in selling Ijmplant to Klk

so the idea of Boustead selling Bplant can also happen to hapseng selling off hs plant

Hs plant I will give 80 marks and hapseng only 25 marks in the margin of safety

hapseng has high debt of Rm3 billions (Rm7 bil loan versus Rm4 bil cash )

while hs plant got about half billion pure cash and will be giving another good dividend this month soon

I guess the price movement is following the same pattern, after new high then drop, then consolidate. After few days, new high again. Hopefully this week can touch RM1.35 to RM1.40.
