We assign a fair value of RM1.47 per share, representing an upside of 88.5% against to the IPO price of RM0.78. This valuation is based on a P/E ratio of 18x, applied to the FY25f EPS of 8.14 sen. Although the ascribed P/E is below the Construction & Engineering sector's peer average forward P/E of 19.2x and average historical P/E of 24.0x, we believe it is justified given AZAMJAYA's smaller market capitalisation of RM390.0m.
Now then, y'all friends and comrades in wealth building. How about we do a bit of history, linguistics and etymology.
"Azam" is a word of Arabic origin meaning "greatest". While "jaya" is a word of ultimately Sanskrit origin meaning "victorious". But both words have been borrowed into Malay and have by now become more or less entrenched in Malay.
So, "Azam Jaya" in Malay would then essentially mean "Greatly Victorious", or "Greatest Victory", or something similar along that line.
So, yep, of course it is a gloriously auspicious name. But nevertheless, it is your money, therefore it is your call. Good luck, folks.
wish good luck to those who got the IPO. I myself got scared based on last IPO. So, decided to watch from the sideline and waiting for any panic selling 😆
it’s H1 cy 24 pat margins dropped from cy23 of 9.2% to 5.3% . in 2021 14.7% , 10.6% 2022 . can they achieve 10% again in cy 25 & with sales projection to increase by 73% ???
