Why I am collecting the oil-related counters
27 OCT 2015
Oil being a scarcity item, the price cannot be suppress for long, both naturally or artificially . One day the price will rebound strongly. There is currently no proper & commercially viable substitute for oil though renewable energy is a second best option but not a totally substitute for oil in the near future. I will keep averaging downwards the oil counters in my stable. Next year we should see WTI oil prices be about USD80. By that time I expect to reap double or triple returns on my oil counters investment escapade. People may say it is not a good move to collect oil related counters now; but I read it differently. Collect when the oil price is low or during general market correction by averaging downwards since no one knows for surewhere is the bottom.
My top pick : SKPETRO ; UMWOG : KKB ENGINEERING; THHEAVY ( a cheaper option)
Happy Trading

The budget's conservative oil price estimate of US$48/b is below Fitch's projection of US$60/b. This could point to some upside for oil-based revenues

Iran may turn on their taps in year 2016. You might have to hold a bit longer.

Crude palm oil is also related to oil...ha ha ha....time to accumulate this too. Population rises, oil consumptions rises. Weather may impact soya oil and palm oil soon...matter of time it will hit jackpot. Like the market that goes in cycle...so is the economy and commodities...all move in cycle.

Hmmm...selling reserve in 2017 and 2018. Base on the report, the cost of their reserve is now at US$74 per barrel. Would they want to sell at current price which is around US$46 or lower or sell higher? Why wait till 2017 or 2018 and not now? US selling reserve but China and Russia and rest of the country are increasing their reserve. Why they worry so much on this oil that they want to keep as reserve? Think abt it.

What makes you think that WTI would recover to USD80/barrel?
