Over 40% in Brunei fully vaccinated

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN : Over 40 per cent of the population has been fully vaccinated after receiving two doses of Covid-19 vaccine, said the Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Mohd Isham Jaafar in a press conference on Tuesday (Sept 28).

The minister said 183,423 persons or 40.4 per cent of the country’s population completed the Covid-19 vaccination programme while 281,303 persons (62 per cent) received the first dose of the vaccine as of Monday.

Dato Seri Setia Dr Mohd Isham said the Ministry of Health plans to vaccinate at least 80 per cent of the country’s population including students aged between 12 to 17 by the end of the year.

The Sultanate has received vaccine donations from Australia, China, Japan and Singapore.

The country’s vaccination programme has vaccinated 464,726 individuals since April 3.

The Brunei-Muara District has the highest number of vaccinations (304,378), followed by Belait District (58,809), Tutong District (53,983) and Temburong District (34,598).

In the Brunei-Muara District, 176,425 received their first dose, while 127,953 completed their second dose; in Belait District, 36,422 completed their first dose and 22,387 had their second dose; in Tutong District, 53,983 individuals received their first dose and 20,125 completed their second dose; and in Temburong District, 34,598 received their first dose and 12,958 completed their second dose.

What! Only 40% vaccinated! Brunei has only 300k population! Even Bhutan has vaccinated 100% of it's population! Brunei is really a fail country!
