Other income is the rent collected from EkoCheras Mall and their investment from F&B, which will generate income for Ekovest consistently. It is other because Ekovest principal activity is Contruction.

In a public company there are a lot of compliances to follow, more so if it involves with government project. You guys seriously think LKH can do whatever he wants without proper judgement is it? Yea go ahead and do that and risk being sued and jailed for misappropriation. By the way, just to be frank IWC is trash. Period. Profit losing, lots of land incapable of being developed and lack of fund. What you can hope is the HSR project can increase the land price in Iskandar region then IWC will start profiting. In terms of construction work I don’t see any reason IWCity should be profited, but of course no one can undermine LKH effect.

To be honest IWCity is not a cash rich company, but rather land rich in Johor area; whereas Ekovest is a cash rich company, especially with 10% extra placement back in June.
I still suppose both counters will be benefited but I believe Ekovest will be a better beneficiary that is capable to pay the huge deposits that are requested by the government back in April - June. I personally believe that this 60% stake for IWH-Crec consortium is treated similarly like 60% stake of China in ECRL, so they are more or less free to decide how they want to develop the project.
The government main concern is that how can they sell this 60% stake at a higher value to the consortium so they can get more cash. This is the challenge here which will render the entire project profit margin lower. But on a side note, government intervention and demand will actually serve as a catalyst that pushes up the entire future value (fv) of the Bandar Malaysia project.
Why?

Under this initiative not only Huawei & Alibaba will make a presence in Bandar Malaysia, we can expect many more Chinese firms or European firms making a presence in Bandar Malaysia.

Sell before 29th of July, then YES, 29th of July and onwards, then NO. Entitlement date is just for book keeping purpose.

Mistake on my previous comment.
If you sell before 29th of July, let's say 28th of July, you will not get dividend.
However, on 29th of July, you will see the share price dropped 90 cents on its own. You can just buyback when market opens.

Let's say you have 100,000 share.
Ex-date 29th of July
You sell at 29th of July for 2.90 (let's say),
you buy back at 30th of July for 2.00.
Immediately you have extra 90k cash with you, considering if you want to hold AA for long term.
Whereas if you did not sell and just hold, you need to wait until 3rd of September (earliest possible date) to receive the 90k, you wasted 1 month of cash liquidity.

Unless the owner of the contract (IWH-CREC) is dumb, or else why would someone not find ways to pay the deposit?

They were able to pay 500Million years ago, do you think they will fail to finance another 724Million? I highly doubt so. If I am a bank I will have no problem lending 500Million to Ekovest (40% of 724 should be spooned by Crec) considering their healthy balance sheet. But I heard LKH is good at giving surprise so anything could happen.

That is just one of the aspect that I try to point out but on overall Ekovest is a stronger and healthier company as compared to IWCity but IWCity price swing is always bigger than Ekovest.

Are people expecting a merger between IWH & IWCity since IWCity is currently loss-making? This is something worth thinking.
