I remember back in the day, I used to spend so much money to buy the dynaquest Bursa stock guide which come out yearly.

Then I started reading Moody's and learning about old man Warren buffet and his simple ( now realized so not simple) strategy.

And bought so many hard cover books which cost me thousands of ringgit.

Nowadays kids can just download pdf and read hard to find books online for free and get infinite knowledge.

Cultivate the urge and joy of reading, and never stop trying.

As for being to young to invest, I urge you to ignore sslee, and invest earlier.

You will have to make mistakes anyway, whether at 17 or at 50.

But better to make mistakes when you have time to recover and learn from it, than to make mistakes when you are too old to work it back.

Outliar Its good that you have invested at such an early age and have gotten some good returns, however just keep in mind that what you are doing is not investing but trading, there's nothing wrong with it but you need to understand the differences, lest you get into trouble when the markets turn or the OTB system reverts or regresses to the mean and you get stuck under the assumption that you are still investing.

Just my advice, you are too young to involve yourself in stock market. Concentrate on your study and by the way investing is not about using different strategy to beat the market but understand the company you invest in. Just enjoy what a 17 old do and don’t overstress yourself with running your internet companies or spend half to one hour to monitor stock market every day.

Meanwhile you can read as many articles in i3 and company annual report to have a better feel the qualitative and quantitative of a business that drive its intrinsic/market value.
KCChong articles are a very good start for how to read financial report: P&L statement, Balance Sheet, Cash flow and the important financial ratio and Choivo-Capital articles on valuation and business understanding across industry.

Let me tell you how we get to know each other.

Last year, there’s a hot forum for stock Lionind. I was investing in this counter and seeking for some news about this counter. I saw some of the people there attacking Mr Ooi. All of the statements that they wrote are totally nonsense and obviously didn’t go through their brain. Some of them even attacked him for no reason.

I got to know Mr.Ooi in 2018 because my aunt in Kedah subscribed to him. My aunt follows his strategy to trade. I kept using her phone to look at the stocks that he recommended and most importantly, the formulas and strategies that he used.

I felt angry when I saw their comments that are total nonsense. I immediately defended Mr. Ooi and listed out the reasons that their statements were false and Mr.Ooi’s were right. Some people joined and gave them a piece of their mind with me.

I was exhilarated when i saw the message of Mr.Ooi that he promises to send me his notes and guide me to invest. If I win money, I can keep it for myself and if I lose money,he will pay them for me. Immediately, he asked for my email and sent me his notes.

I am very happy and it is a great pleasure to meet him. Even till now, we are still contacting each other. He even gave me his private contact number and answers all my questions. I asked a lot of questions to him and he still willing to answer all of it.

He made his promise and he did not blame me to ask so many questions. He also did not mind teaching and guiding me even though i was just seventeen years old.

I will continue to learn from him and become a successful fund manager after studying in U.S. I will also repay his kindness.

It’s my pleasure to meet this mentor. I truly appreciate his kindness. Thank you, Mr.Ooi.
