Package 2 – stage 5: This package is at the most advanced stage, primarily because it did not go through any alignment or design change after the change of government. MQ Research understands in November 2019, the land acquisition will be finalised and payments will be made to landowners by month-end. As such, it will be cleared for awards starting December 2019. The key job scope to look out for in this package would be the TOD Hub which will be built in Kota SAS, Pahang. MQ Research believes this job scope will be the most lucrative one within this package. Note that AQRS is already one of the main contractors of Kota SAS township project.

KUALA LUMPUR (June 9): See Hup Consolidated Bhd rose as much as 25 sen or 16.89% to RM1.73 this morning after securing a RM91.03 million contract from China Communications Construction (ECRL) Sdn Bhd to construct part of the subgrade works for the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL).

At 9.42am, See Hup had pared some gains at RM1.55, still up seven sen or 4.73% from yesterday’s close at RM1.48, with 372,900 shares changing hands.

The group said yesterday, the contract which will be undertaken by its 51%-owned subsidiary SH Moment Builder Sdn Bhd, involves Package 2, Section 4 of the rail link.

It will commence on June 13, 2021 for a duration of 26 months.

The group said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday that the contract is expected to contribute positively to its revenue, future earnings and earnings per share (EPS).

ZESB will continue to reduce the amount owing by monetising its assets in its investment
properties. The Group had entered into a Deed of Assignment, whereby ZESB assigned its
right in and to the net sale proceeds from the planned disposal of certain identified lands of
ZESB as settlement of the amount due to Stratavest, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EDEN. As
an assurance and commitment to the Group, ZESB has agreed and consented to the
lodgement of a private caveat of 4 identified lands by Stratavest which was duly lodged on 28
July 2012. The aforesaid 4 lands comprised of leasehold industrial land measuring in
aggregate 184.03 hectares, and are located in Gebeng Industrial Estate, Pahang. Based on
an internal valuation conducted by the management of EDEN in August 2020, the estimated
market value (in aggregate) for all 4 identified lands are approximately RM182.24 million.
Premised on this, the Board and management of EDEN are of the opinion that the
abovementioned carrying amount of RM49.39 million due from ZESB (holding company) are
recoverable, as the due amount can be fully and sufficiently covered by the potential sale
proceeds secured against the planned disposal of the 4 identified land
