The QR is not so good TBH. but i am still holding it because i think it wont drop much further.
July is China Summer holiday and our government already expecting full force of China tourist is visiting Malaysia begin in July. So we can expect a much better Quarter 3 result.

I been holding this stock for almost a year and average down to 0.20.
it is hard for me to let go this stock but today i had decided to sell it all at 0.20 for 2 reason.
1. My buying point on GFM is no longer true. Initially i bought it because of the JKR project that i hope it can boost the profit and eventually better dividend. but on recent QR, i found that some of the project has completed(no renew) and the profit is only sustain thanks to JKR contribution. its abit disapointment as there is no new project to further boost our investor confident.
2. Second reasono, there is a dividend announce on recent quarter, Y23Q2 of 0.0018 sen. It looks good to me at first, but if you look into the quarter report, the cashflow is actually negative but yet company still announce dividend which concern to me. It means that this dividend payout is non-sustainabe. Thing might get worse if later GFM do private placement again to collect money from us.
I am just sharing my 2cents, at this current price 0.20, the downside is not high but i dont see upside and decide to switch to other stock for now.
Welcome anyone to share his/her opinion as i will continue monitor this stock too.

The profit is same as last quarter, but if you look into the report, actually there is forex gain of 1.2m, so actual profit is 6m compare to last quarter 7.3m. so it doesnt look good actually, but good thing is the dividend still maintain 2sen.

i havent buy in this stock yet, hope it drop to 1.5 and i feel more comfortable buying in.

in 2015 where property sector at its peak point, KSL share price was rm2 where total 4Quarter profit around 300m, number of share is 960m.
in 2023, KSL share price is undervalue at 90sen where 2Quarter profit already 200m, number of share still maintain same is 1000m. Conservative prediction, assuming next 2 quarter no growth, maintain 100m per quarter, 2023 end at profit 400m, which break the revenue and profit of all time (2014-2015)
So how much this stock price should be valued by now?

GFM is in sideway for almost half year

This stock get my attention after it released the Q1 report with record earning. Go through the report, they have piles of cash on hand, just wondering will it start giving dividend to rewards their investor. if it will, it worth digging deeper into this stocks.

im making assumption on the dividend if the profit recover back to pre-covid time. considering the number of share never increase over the years, 6sen diviidend per year is not an issue for hupseng with the cashbalance on hand. on a side note, 6sen means the dividend payout of 100% from the earning. i think its ok, anyone invest Hupseng should know it is not a growth focus company. What i want highlight is the current price is undervalue to me.

Hupseng has raise their pingpong biscuit price by 10% in 2022. and the earning only start reflecting in recent quarter because in last year 2022, the price increase is to fight against the inflation of raw material cost (Wheat and CPO). now that the CPO price start dropping in August 2022 from 7k to current 4k, this has significantly improve hupseng raw material cost and lead to better profit margin. If hupseng able to maintain the profit for another 2 quarter, its revenue and profit is same as 2020 where price is 90-95sen with dividend 6sen.
Even if the price does not rise back to 90sen, considering current price 69sen with 6sen dividend, equivalent to 8.6% dividend yield. so why not?

I like Mi this company. But Goody99, did you really go through their QR report? there is a unrealiazed forex gain of 15m. So the actual profit is around 7million and compare to last year Q2, the net profit is really drop by 50%.

Guys, i hold scicom for 2 years and I sold Scicom in last month. Reason is i feel uneasy and uncertain with this AI that might affect scicom. Hope someone can enlighten me on this.
In the begining of this year, i ever said Scicom should not be affected by AI as it seem like a short term hype, but seeing too many big company focusing on AI through this year, that bothers me.
But i really love this dividend stock. For now, i choose to shift to other stock that pay similar dividend with more certainty and stable. I will come back if Scicom able to grow or at least maintain the profit in coming few quarter.

Hi Meo, to answer your question, ABRDN is adjusting their portfolio back in few months ago, they disposed some share from Shangri and buy Kossan stock. you can check Kossan announcement back in Jan-Feb. ABRDN will continue be the main share holder for Shangri as we can see it has stopped the disposal. Perhap ABRDN see greater return from Kossan stock which look like it is. Anyway, i will keep holding Shangri. When will the stock price go up? i dont know but the chance for this stock to continue move downward is limited.

continue accumulating this stock at cheap price. The JKR project has proven to be contributing for 2 quarters, so i assume its gonna be stable, consider JKR + the concession project, 5million profit for each quarter is not a problem. and we can see the management is expanding to r&r for recurring income. the stock price is going down due to bad market sentiment, so do not panic guys. stick to fundamental company, things wont go wrong. in short term, it is a voting machine but in long term, its a weighting machine.

Does it sounds similar to you that we already experience it in many website ? it is a robot chatbox that provide assistance to customer. .Website like airasia and shopee already have this kind of robot chatbox service. So it is not something new to us.
there will still be the needs for direct customer service where consumer like us can talk to real people to handle our inquiry. This is where Scicom provide the services.
So my answer is NO, CHATGPT will not affect scicome business(at least not for now). it is merely a robot chatbox(maybe more smarter).

if you notice it, the dividend announced is first interim dividend instead of final dividend. It means the chances of announcing a final dividend on next QR is high. road to high dividend stock.

Agree, scicom is a dividend stock with slow growth. Even the business is affected by Shopee retrenctment, the current price has factored in. i dont mind if it drops futher down rm1, it would be opportunity to collect n keep.. easily 6-7% dividend.

Hi vivientac, where do you get this information about 7eleven? i am not aware of this, if it is true, then this is a bonus. From the annual report, it mentioned that 95% of the contract was successful renewed with existing customer. At least i could say the chance of maintaining the revenue is high. This means that we can expect a 7% dividend per annum with current price.

Go through their recent Annual report, you will find some big hints too

My belove Ptrans has break 90sen ! congrats to all shareholder although i sold it at 80sen few months back. hahaha still monitoring and im happy to see this stock keep growing.

Im happily trapped in this stock for 20years as long as the dividend yield is sustaining at 7%. But it wont be possible to stay stagnant if the profit is improving steadily. else it gona be >7% dividend yield.

Agree with Ming. I feel this QR is just acceptable, neither good nor bad. Without the foreign exchange lost 3.5m, it should turn to profitable QR.
It is a good sign to see TSM lost has drop significantly.
RGB rent slot machines to casino and in return, RGB get the share profits. this is how TSM revenue come from.
During covid, TSM suffer a great lost because it need to do maintenance on machine and have no profit sharing from casino.
Now that most country are reopening like pre-covid, TSM will eventually recover and become profitable when more casino are allow to operate.
It may take another 1 or 2 QR. So, patient is the key and ignore noises.

How much potential capital gain?? let's think about it.
