Guys - for those who are here for 6% divvy (vs 2.8 for FD) there is no reason to celebrate...unless you sell (take profit).
take profit, then you do not get 6% anymore.

@seekundervalue Then do focus on analysis of RHB’s earnings growth…is the EPS increasing?
If EPS goes up, price will follow right?
So I hope many here start to understand why the price is not going up…and why RHB is trading even below its book value.

I am amazed why majority here are speaking like punters, instead of long term inv3stors.
A punter will want the price to fly…but when price fly, DY will drop
Investors like mt have a long term view, so the low price (and I hope it stays this way for long time) is a blessing that gives you the opportunity to accumulate at such a good DY.

@JJPTR. - agree. It’s more lucrative to be a conman or corrupt in Malaysia.
@buyselll - if you are day trader then i understand. Buy/sell go with trend. If u have a long term view on the company and fundamentals, then decide based on the intrinsic value and not up/down trend!

@Mabel - thanks for explaining. Yes, while to an amateur investor, the SG banks will appear over value, but if you look at their KPIs you will see my point.
I started to buy Maybank in 2011. Instead, if I started buying DBS back then.....my portfolio would be 6-10X more
2024-03-24 11:41 | Report Abuse
While this is a good dividend play…it’s a far cry from the 3 SG banks.

Thank you @Stirmungle for such valuable insights presented in such a productive way. It is always good to get different views from other stakeholders of this wonderful company. Back in 2017, I valued Uchi at RM3.6 - this was based on my DDM and DCF analysis. So with my 15%MOS below RM3 was to me a buy. I am a small fry with limited bullets so prefer to buy value.
I believe today in 2024, Uchi needs to be rerated, and it is safe to say that RM4 is the value. Using my the same 15% MOS, RM3.4 is the number, but I will probably take more risk (given the business resiliency and overall sentiment) to use 10% MOS....i.e. RM3.6
Above is just my view, to each their own. All the best and I hope 2024 is another good year for Uchi
2024-03-20 12:43 | Report Abuse
it is good to see that the price is normalizing to the true valuation. RM3.6 is my IV with MOS built in. More conservative RM3.3

So what? They own half the companies listed on Bursa and most global markets. They choose to expose by country, without much due diligence on the company per say.

Haiyan….@smartly - did you understand my question? You calculation claims on industrial pro wil contribute 0.16 (nett 0.144) annually. Does this consider the increase in number of units following the placement and issue of new shares in lieu of the industrial property acquisition
2024-02-07 22:44 | Report Abuse
@smartly - did you factor in the dilution after the 3 industrial properties in your DPU calculation?

Downtrend in 1H2024…that it my prediction. Reason : No catalyst for further growth. USD is expected to weaken against RM, so price will normalise to around RM3.3 and/or lower.

Market will reward those who are patient. Be fearful when others are greedy and be greedy when people are fearful. This is logic is NOT from me, but from the God if value investing who is known at the Oracle of Omaha.
Going with this, for me now it’s time to sit on “dry powder” and wait for for RM3.25 where I will start to accumulate…☺️
