Hi Mat Cendana,
I feel that you get the wrong idea of your mbb acc.. You will never receive any letter for rights issue at all.
Mbb staff will contact you to ask you whether to subscribe rights issue or not. Else you have to contact them to subscribe. You do not need to fill in form at all.
Furthermore, you are too late. Today already ex-rights.

boss... bonus issue is after rights issue la... so the ex-rights sure not take into account for bonus
2016-05-18 14:28 | Report Abuse
the rights is before bonus issue... i mean the rights issue will be entitle for bonus too... so "Tang Khangseng" point is not so correct

Meanwhile, MSCI had in its May semi annual index review reduced its weightage for investment in Malaysian equities. Under its reblancing which takes effected after market close on May 31, the weightage would be increased for IHH Healthcare and Public Bank but reduced for CIMB, Maybank, AmBank, Sime Darby, Petronas Chemicals and Petronas Dagangan.

Not related to fintech at all la... have u seen any fintech in Malaysia offering any services?
I do not know much about fintech... but if fintech capable to offer some services, banks should be able to copy it and do better than them as they have better fundamental in Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's economy grew at a slower pace of 4.2% in the first quarter of 2016, due to slower growth in the manufacturing and services sectors, but the overall growth was still above economists' forecast of a subdued 4% growth.
The Statistics Department said on Friday the growth of 4.2% was slower when compared with the 5.7% growth a year ago. It was also slower than the 4.5% expansion in the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2015.
(Bad GDP data but 4.2% is already above economists' forecast at 4%)

I think should be okay to buy because
- BHIC last year had bad losses from cut loss on its business (this supposed to be only 1 time)
- Palm oil price better this year as compared with last year
- MyTown should be doing good if we look at the crowd at Ikea2
- AES implementation could be a big boost

Boustead has procured LTAT's, and deputy chairman and group managing director Tan Sri Lodin Wok Kamaruddin's commitment to subscribe to their full entitlements. This would ensure that Boustead will meet its minimum target for the rights issue, which is to raise RM641.5 million.
After that, the group will conduct a bonus issue, where two Boustead shares will be given for every five shares held after the rights issue.
(this should means if u hold 5000 shares, u can subscribe 2000 rights issue with RM2.55 each then get additional bonus issue...... at the end, u will have 9800 shares)... Boustead should be doing good at MyTown as the Ikea2 always full of people. Seems also got hope from AES implementation.

Someone asked about pjdev listing issue and OLH replied was nothing new. Just said current plan is to keep it listed. Still searching for workable options.
At the end, no people able to guess what will be happening. OSK may offer to privatise it again too.

I did not hear any dividends policy. I only heard he said impossible for 20sen but no worry on dividends because OSK has been listed since 1999 and it has been paying dividends every years.

Anyway, I do see potential in OSK. In long term, it should be good
2016-04-09 22:46 | Report Abuse
If OLH family owns more than 90% of OSK, OSK would be delisted already according to Bursa rules. If jjchan wants to blow water, please blow sensibly. Talk nonsense is useless

what la... localmotive understand what is happening or not? What relist?
RHBCap is already listed long time and currently still a listing company. That is just to transfer listing status from RHBCap to RHB Bank. Can save a bit $$ from tax and less stringent capital requirements.
I noticed that really got lots of clown at here.
what is this funitec above talked about P/E ratio? If don't know what happening then please don't say it.
Furthermore, jjchan says OLH family holding like 95% of OSK already? WTF bull shit. I don't believe this. Please look at annual report by yourself on the shareholders information.
Some people also keep on saying OSK bad..zzz

The english is unclear. 61.5mil for 3 years should be interpreted as 61.5m total for 3 years or it seems able to be interpreted as 61.5m per year for 3 consecutive years

If Penang government want $, they can choose dividends. But instead they chose like this sucking method. Means they really dun take care of shareholders

luckily i sold PBA last week. May come back to PBA only if price vy low.. Not very attractive due to Penang government sucking $$

Similarly to pjdev and oskprop in past few years right? Why would many people think there is no rewards?
2016-03-01 08:16 | Report Abuse
if we observe back to OSK time during its IB business, it really seems that the dividends depends on the earnings. When earnings exceptionally good, dividends will be good too. So i viewed it as he will pay good dividends as long as good profit.

zefftan misunderstood my meaning. depreciation and impairment are different items. Depreciation is normal to appear every quarter/year while impairment just one-off unless there are more to come.
2016-02-25 11:25 | Report Abuse
ok. I just realised that the impairment 6.28 million is total amount from Jun to Dec 2015 but i have never seen other impairment during year 2014. why do you say it is every quarter?
2016-02-25 11:14 | Report Abuse
zefftan is right on the "origination and reversal of temporary differences" is contributing part of the reduced earnings by 2.83 million during latest quarter. I have not much idea on what is the tax about but the impairment is clearly one-off charges that cost 6.28 million. I do not understand if 6.28 million is smaller than 2.83 million.
2016-02-25 09:08 | Report Abuse
Can assume so. Unless every quarter got impairment. Furthermore, 1 of the possible positive news is that the expansion dam project that started since few years ago suppose to be finish around mid 2016. So hopefully that capital expenditure can slow down a bit
2016-02-24 09:56 | Report Abuse
Some people dun understand why so less profit. They expected much higher (i.e. profit before one-off impairment)
2016-02-24 09:30 | Report Abuse
If dun count that one-off impairment, quarter result should be near to 14 million ringgit

PETALING JAYA (Feb 20): OSK Property Holdings Bhd (OSK Property), which merged with PJ Development Holdings Bhd last year, will launch its first project abroad in Melbourne, Australia this year.
Its maiden venture in the land down under will be an integrated development on the Southbank by the Yarra River with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM8.28 billion, OSK Property’s newly-appointed CEO Ong Ghee Bin told City & Country.
However, the developer is also launching projects across Malaysia this year with a total GDV of RM1.06 billion.
They are the second phase of Timurbay Seafront Residence in Kuantan, Pahang; Luminari in Harbour Place (pictured), Butterworth; a bungalow development in Sungai Petani, Kedah; and Phase 2 of Windmill Upon Hills in Genting Highlands, Pahang.
The newly-merged entity currently has 2,500 acres of undeveloped land, expected to generate an estimated GDV of RM8 billion.
The group will also focus on integrated developments to harness its in-house capabilities that include retail and hospitality, and expand its portfolio of assets that generate recurring income.
“This development type which usually includes a hotel and shopping mall is the direction that the company is taking because it will allow the company to tap the expertise of parent company OSK Property’s other business pillar,” said Ong.
