Tropicana was probably in need of immediate funds and this to them was the best way forward without incurring further losses. If it was a loss of confidence in TG , it definitely would have been more than just the 13% of their total holdings.

With regards the article of Tropicana disposing TG shares, I was made to understand that the realized losses from the disposal was hugely offset by the dividend payouts and they still hold a considerable amount. Can someone confirm that?

Looking at a quick resolution to this CBP issue, when because of its minimal impact, was low on TG's list. This new fiasco has galvanised them into action. Coupled with the dividend payout next week where I believe a huge percentage will be re-invested, a nightmare scenario for the shorties is emerging.

Who buy at 7 also DY for this FY at about 15%, maybe continue into next FY. By then TG price may have reached 15! Weigh the risk/reward ratio. This is the giant among giants, not some goreng penny counter just playing on hype alone.

Desperation setting in. 2+Billion worth of dividends will be paid out to majority long term investors. If only half of that is re-invested, shorties are gonna get hurt real bad!

I-sinar and the moratoriums have placed loads of cash into the hands of many who don't really need it to survive. There are 2 CWs expiring in the money at the end of this month. If the price can be depressed and VWAP 5 days preceding the expiry date maintained at or below 6.55, no loss will be incurred by the IBs concerned. Expect the action around this range until the end of the month.
