Ranhill is not a pot of gold. It cannot raise the rate charged to clients without the approval from state government. If cost of maintenance and of fund injection increase but the government refuse to allow rate increment, than ytl may have v low profit margin or even experience losses. To me it is not a good investment

I am sure ytl was not the only company offered ranhill to buy. Most companies rejected because of the large amount of cash involved. Secondly Hamdan [saled egg] is not a brainless manager. He is an experienced business man. To improve profit of ranhill, huge injection of funds are needed to replace old pipes, tanks etc.Ranhill may have huge debt already.
