Folks, in addition, AirAsia’s bargaining power will be diluted, as Malindo Air could also become an anchor tenant for KLIA 2 if its planned 12 aircraft deliveries per year materialise.

1. The entry of Malindo Airways and other no-frills carriers will help diversify MAHB’s clientele.
2. MAHB’s single client exposure risk with klia2 will be reduced as it will no longer need to be “subjugated” to AirAsia’s demands and complaints regarding the terminal.
3. If Malindo executes its commitment to grow its fleet by 12 aircraft per year, it can easily become klia2’s anchor tenant within the next four to five years.

Once KLIA2 is operational, MAHB will have almost 10 LCCs flying from it. Among them are Zest Airways, Lion Air, Tiger Airways, Cebu Pacific Air and definitely, AirAsia loh!

Folks, since the so called hard core supporters not able to give you the answer then I will.
This is because Malindo scores higher marks on value proposition as it offers complimentary frills such as light snacks in-flight entertainment and uses an aerobridge for passenger embarkation.
As such a price war is a certainty, which will translate to profit erosion for the incumbent Airasia! ....... Wakakakakakakakakak!!

1. With today closing price at Rm2.85 Airasia’s market value shed to Rm7.92 billion.
2. On 11/9/12, the news of a low-cost value carrier, Malindo Airways becoming a player in the region its market value was at Rm9.11 billion.
3. This rapid shifts in price came amid news that Malindo Airways, which is 49-percent-owned by Indonesia’s Lion Group, base in KLIA2 will start operations in mid-2013.

1. Malindo Airways' entry will strengthen the Malaysia's aviation industry.
2. The partnership will also provide the regional low-cost air travel market with healthy competition, ultimately benefitting low-cost travellers in both countries.
3. The government on their part, will continue to support such INTIATIVES, especially bearing in mind that the ultimate beneficiaries will be the consumers of low-cost travel in particular, and the rakyat as a whole.

Folks, TF own mentor, Sir Richard Branson bailed out on him.
Many believed Branson realised that AirAsia has insufficient fund to pay back the down-payment of large aircraft orders that was last made by Tony Fernandez in Paris in 2011.

Folks, as at 29 June 2012, 52.04% of the issued and paid-up share capital of AirAsia of 2,779,149,580 ordinary shares of RM0.10 each were held by foreigners. As at 20/09/12, EPF interest 9.94%.
Remember folks, pressure on margin calls & force sell will set in if this counter fail to close higher than Rm2.87.

3. Closed at Rm2.87 on 25/9/12, its market capitalisation was reduced by a whopping RM1.139 billion following news of competition from new entrant Malindo Air.

Well folks, closing at Rm2.87 low.
Pressure on force sell will set in if this counter fail to close higher than Rm2.87 low, for the coming days as this counter was heavily transacted last week at Rm2.95 above.
Also some leveraged investors may find themselves with little choice but to sell because of margin calls.
Careful now to those buying on contra. Fasten your seat belts and do pray hard so that the price wouldn't drop lower from today closed.

Yes, Air Asia carry the national flag but it has foreigners as majority shareholders.

1. If a company depends a lot on the high price of it's shares in the stock market to raise financing, in which the high revenue growth serve to propel speculation of it's shares based on the forecasted PE model, it will be faced with the question of sustaining that growth.
2. So now the question where is Airasia getting that growth? Indonesia? ... Low cost long haul? ... Japan? ... Expedia?... Philippines?

1. Malindo Airways is eyeing primarily AirAsia's lucrative domestic market in Malaysia especially the profitable Sabah and Sarawak routes.
2. Theoretically, Malindo Airways, being a new entrant in Malaysia, will go all out for market share at the expense of profits by undercutting prices.
3. AirAsia, on the other hand, may also want nip the competition in the bud by dropping fares which will result in a full-scale price war.
So folks, let the games begin! Consumers and airport operator MAHB will be the prime beneficiaries of new low-cost airline Malindo Airways' entry into the local airline industry in the form of choices and fares!

1. Malindo Airways is seen as becoming AirAsia strongest competitor in the low cost arena.
2. So far, AirAsia flies to many cities on a monopoly basis and competition is likely to be revived in Malaysia.
3. Financial experts expect a decline in fares and yields of AirAsia Bhd once the carrier starts flying.
4. Malindo will offer a slightly better comfort with a larger seat pitch (31 inch, 7% larger than AirAsia) and small snacks onboard. It also indicated to use the airbridges installed at KLIA 2, due to open in May next year.

2. EPF on the other hand has been swimming against the tide by buying from the high price of around Rm3.64 till to the two week low of around Rm2.82 in order to support this counter no to fall & closed below it critical support level at Rm2.88.
3. At least for last week EPF was seen successful in doing that with the price closing at Rm2.95. What about this week?
Remember JPMorgan & Chase Co.’s stunning disclosure that the bank lost $2 billion in “egregious” trading losses.

Budget carrier AirAsia is hoping for a smoother ride ahead after a turbulent week of trading.

CIMB - We see increased risks for AirAsia as Malaysia is its most profitable base and the source of funds to support fledging overseas associates.
As such, we cut our earnings per share (EPS) forecasts on lower yield assumptions.

An analyst from Hong Leong Investment Bank said the stock price continued to fall on the formation of Malindo Airways which was perceived as a threat for AirAsia by some.
The stock, which closed at Rm3.19 on Tuesday, shed 17 sen to Rm3.02 on Wednesday and fell another 7 sen to Rm2.95 Thursday.
The share had at 11:46am Thursday DROPPED to a bottom of RM2.82!
So folks, dare to buy? Hahahahahahahah!

Folks, on 27/08/12 EPF total shares interest in Airasia was at 245,767,700 units only.
Latest announcement to bursa, as of 18/9/12, total number of shares were at 274,062,100 that is an increased of 28,294,400 units.
While other foriegn & local investors were heavily dumping this counter, EPF on the other hand has been buying from the high price of around Rm2.64 till the way down to the two week low of around Rm2.82 in order to support this counter no to fall & closed below it critical support level at Rm2.88.
Well folks, at least for this week EPF was seen successful in doing that with the price closing at Rm2.95.
Without the support from EPF the price will be much lower. Will there be more aggresive selling by local & foreign funds again? Time will tell, folks!!

1. Confident that Malindo Air will be able to be profitable quickly (less than one year) on domestic Malaysia including the profitable Sabah and Sarawak routes and Indonesian routes given the strong demand and existing client base to tap onto.
2. The house adds that with the entry of Malindo Air, AirAsia's virtual monopoly ceases and yields are SET TO DECLINE and profit contribution from AirAsia's biggest market will RECEDE.
3. Note that AirAsia Indonesia's operations are significantly less profitable compared with its Malaysian operations - by Maybank Research House.
