the IDRP at a price of 65c per share is like ..... hmmm.. i don't know to comment.
If you subscribe the IDRP, it just means that you are forgoing your dividend to maintain same % of the ownership in the company.
If you cashout as dividend/income distribution, your % in company is reduced, future dividend is reduced.
In future the total share will be broaden, the EPS is more diluted ...
I have a mixed response with IDRP , specially in REIT as the income of REIT cannot be exponentially growth

actually i can't see the growth prospect of OPENSYS... the major contribution is the CRM machine ..
10 years ago, if you talk about replacing all the ATM machine with CRM to cut cost, it may sounds like a growth.
However, at this current era, we are talking about competition of using paper money aka Credit card / Debit card / QR code / Ewallet usage... these usage may corrode the usage of cash in hand form, which may limit the potential usage of CRM

Getting a degree or not a degree is totally different.
While honing your skill in university, you are taught on "Critical thinking" and "Problem solving".
Due to the mushrooming of university student, not everyone has really equipped with such skill = hence subpar university graduate.
Does that mean University doesn't work well ? It depends on individual.
A simple example is roadside amateur investor will only use Price Earning Ratio (PER) to gauge a company valuation...
With a more "Critical thinking skill", you discovered not everything is PER... there is DCF, there is EBIT/EV , there is Sum-Of-Part valuation blah blah blah ...
I always welcomed people not to take degree...
so in future my son/daughter equipped with proper degree can compete in the workforce.
A person with degree vs non-degree , similar problem solving skill.... who will think will be hired ?

Sad to say people still have hopes in this counter...
"Fintec stuck in Malaysia .." , if they can list in NASDAQ, they already list like how GRAB list it...
"apa mahu check? tunggu naik half of a cent all happy!" - u better go Genting there play Baccarrat, at least u have pretty PRC girl + all the drinks served by Genting group before u win/lose at 45/55 chance.
MusangKing, i'm deeply saddened with your loss, but i think you shouldn't put your "good" money into the "bad" money in FINTEC anymore... Go and find other better company to invest.

but CRM vs e-wallet/mobile banking is a totally different game comparison ... it's like VCD -> Pendrive.

Cash on hand is 121M ,
FCF generated is 40M for this 9 month , with capex of only 3M.
BUT they only declare 6 Million as dividend ... yet they didn't use the money to generate more cash...
This is what causes it's poor valuation...

Out-of-topic-post.
Suddenly i feel emotional after reviewing this post. The name i recognize is mostly either gone, or not exist anymore.
Even i'm still green and still a student of the market (my experience started from 2013), I've saw so much so called pro, super trader, Da Shi aka DaiSi aka Sensei aka Teacher or some weird name being washed away by the sheer wave of market...
Only few survived...
How many survived the big tumble of oil price in early 2015 ?
How many survived the Shringgit post-1MDB incident in middle 2015 ?
How many survived after the under-expectation of export stock in 2016 ?
How many survived after the fall of construction stock in 2017 ?
How many survived through the wavering KLCI post election 2018 ?

the fundemendals are still intact with this company.
The problem is valuation is getting cheaper, hence, the reduction in the share price.

Dear Tan KW,
Please release my name from the future competition.
I am semi-retired from the stock market (more lean towards passive investor) as I had to develop my career properly, and you can say I'm too busy to monitor stock market. :) After all, my current career will grant me prosperity and blessings from making good deeds.

Quote 1 : I figure that we need about a monthly income of RM8k in retirement
Quote 2 : We have RM1.8m money in our EPF
Let's do some calculation.
RM 1,800,000 x 6% (Assumption of EPF declaring 6% dividend) = RM 108,000 per year
That is RM 9,000 per month.
RM 1,800,000 x 5.5% (Recent ASM rate) = RM 99,000 per year
That is RM 8.250 per month
RM 1,800,000 x 5% (i think this consideration bad enough) = Rm 90,000 per year
That is RM 7,500 per month
______________
You better live off with EPF's dividend rather than staking the capital invest in the market.
Just an amateur point of view.
Thank you.

I was interested in PPHB as it was a small-cap company with reasonable growth over the years.
But why the price is still 0.555 ? Why a company is trading at a market cap of 105 million when it earns 19 million for the past year ? Why it is trading at a mid-single-digit PE ?
I believe this is due to "market perception".
The participant doesn't believe in the 19 millions per year as they can't promise a single cent of dividend.
And could they deliver the dividend to the shareholder ?
Looking at the cashflow, i believe PPHB is unable to deliver a single cent of dividend.
* Cash from operation is outstanding at 30 million FYE2018
* Then everything is devoured at PPE - 33 million.
* PPE ballooned from 121.5M to 148.65M in 1 year.
* There are 21M of capex approved and still not yet contracted. = All the profit goes to capex.
As long there are no dividend policy decided, this share is going to be having a very very depressed valuation.
Even in my investment experience, London Biscuit with the super "idiotic" profit to capex to PPE also borrowed to declare dividend in order to lift up the sentiment/perception of the company. In other words, this company doesn't give a damn about the shareholder.
SIncerely

* For this quarter (reflect the end of March), please do notice that PPE - WIP (For those who don't know what is WIP , it mean Work In Progress) is RM 4.8 Million.
* Previous Quarter was RM 0.644M.
* WELLCAL decide to devote RM 9.2 Million for the JV.
* My crude estimation of completion of the new JV will be end of this year.

Oh no, the YoY profit dropped 14%. By this trend, after 7 quarter, KIPREIT profit will be zero ! SELL now. TP 0.10
Familiar with this kind of quote ? Teehee...
Note for fellow investors.
Lower total comprehensive income mainly due to higher borrowing cost incurred on the back to date of higher bank borrowing to finance solar PV system as well as the Kinta acquisition deposit. On top of that, the higher management fee charged from 0.30% of TAV in corresponding quarter to 0.60% of TAV in current quarter.
You should question why management fees doubled at shareholder expenses.

Please make KIPREIT 就死得很难看 (die in a very horrible way)
I'm waiting to collect KIPREIT and die with KIPREIT together if it is selling at 50c.
If you think KIPREIT will drop suddenly to 70c or 60c, then you must mistaken REITs as a normal company share or whatsover securities...

1. The spot price of the resin dropped since December 2019, it being consistently hovering at a lower price and further dropped to 1 year low ... currently...
2. Plastic ban and biodegradable food wrapping/tray demand will be getting bigger and bigger due to the rise of the environment consciousness... How SCGM capture the market and outbeat their competitor, yet is still an unknown.
3. Cost passing mechanism of these product is NOT high... imagine if you sell 10c for a wrap, and by tomorrow you say , oh i'm sorry , it's 20c now because the cost of producing those stuff escalated... I bet most of their customer will switch to their competitor that has a more stable pricing mechanism...
4. Those whom worried about rising inventory/receivable and decreasing cash balance , i just want to inform you that this is the nature of "trading" business... they rely on credit to revolve. Look at other "trading" business and you will see such cashflow is quite a norm... example SAMCHEM or the previous ECS .
5. I haven't tracked this counter for a long time, but base on the track record and the management attitude (willing to distribute the profit and dividend), i think you can consider this company ... when it is on it's upleg cycle again.

I'm always a fan of a company that always suffered from pressure to declare dividend , but I always check if they really need to loan/borrow money to declare dividend.
One of the fine example is MAYBANK .. The largest shareholder is PNB .. PNB need cash for other operation, that makes MAYBANK very generous with their dividend policy .. because the owner needs it. Haha.

Taiwanese-run company in Bursa , they will have a similar trait. They will earn money, then declare the profit as dividend, so that they can enjoy it (as most of them are substantial shareholder)
Instead of Malaysian-run company that declare fat renumeration and don't declare a single shit dividend to shareholder, Taiwanese run company is very suitable for those who invest for dividend (and future dividend growth) .

sapurakencana, we all know who is behind the scene of DKSH. But what is the relationship between P&L and the shareholder behind DKSH ?
What you trying to imply is waiting for the holding company to inject fund (via PP or whatsoever method) to pare down the debt ?
The fact is , acquisition is 485M, profit is 25M, and the entire acquisition will rely on borrowing...
That is some interesting acquisition method....
