There's been a sudden spike in trading volume. Many lots were bought at 17 cents, as we discussed.

It's your choice if you want to play the timing game. You might try to pinpoint a bottom and get lucky, but I'm not skilled at bottom fishing—it's not my strategy. Once they've finished accumulating (which is unknown to everyone), they'll likely remove all the obstacles and resistance at 18 cents and 20 cents, allowing the share price to rise smoothly.

I doubt the operator will flood the market with shares, allowing others to buy at low prices. If MINETEC has a significant development underway, I don't think the operator will allow retail investors to buy at a discount. It seems they've been accumulating shares steadily, particularly below 20 cents, based on my observation.

We're all speculators at heart. We invest in the stock market because we enjoy speculating. Whether it's anticipating good or bad quarterly reports, speculating on new projects, or pondering various possibilities, speculation is what drives us.

This is the essence of making money in the stock market: positioning yourself early, establishing your investment thesis, and determining your entry and exit points. If your thesis proves correct, you stand to reap significant rewards.
It's not about constantly shouting "BUY BUY BUY" when a stock is about to hit its limit up, or "SELL SELL SELL" when operators are dumping shares. It's about strategic decision-making based on your analysis and conviction.

Remember my name. I was the first to speculate about this new direction for MINETEC. Only time will tell if my speculation is accurate or not.

If these projects come to fruition, MINETEC stands to benefit significantly. Revenue from these two ventures could propel the company to generate billions of ringgit in revenue annually.
These developments signify a structural shift for the company, marking the emergence of MINETEC's new core business.

Here's my speculation:
Three major projects seem to be on the horizon for MINETEC:
Submarine cable projects
Data centers for artificial intelligence
Hydropower plants

Here's my speculation regarding MINETEC: Abang Izzarim's acquisition of MINETEC suggests a potential integration with IRIX Sdn Bhd.
IRIX specializes in subsea cable manufacturing, particularly submarine cables. According to Abang Izzarim's recent interview, his focus is on telecommunications and digital infrastructure projects.
Based on this, here are my speculations:
MINETEC could venture into submarine cable projects, particularly for transferring green energy electricity to Singapore from renewable sources like hydropower. This could lead to a collaboration where Singapore invests in data centers in Sarawak in exchange for energy.
MINETEC may also engage in digital infrastructure initiatives, such as building data centers for artificial intelligence applications. Sarawak's goal of establishing 5 Tier IV data centers aligns with this speculation

In his recent interview, Abang mentioned that he had given himself a six-month probation period to implement changes, introduce new ideas, and adopt innovative approaches for the benefit of SCIB. However, due to differences in business direction and visions between SCIB and Abang, he decided to step down.
Regarding MINETEC, Abang stated that he is focusing on telecommunications and digital infrastructure projects. Once a collaboration or deal is finalized, he will announce it on BURSA.

Investing in SARAWAK-themed companies is clearly promising. Just like in Johor where you have stocks like YTL, IWCITY, UEM, and others related to property due to the rapid development in Johor City.
However, in Sarawak, there aren't many companies directly linked to the region, except for those from the ex-TAIB era. One notable exception is MINETEC, given that Abang Jo's son is the owner. Another one is KKB, well-known as a GPS-related counter.
The majority of other stocks are heavily associated with TAIB or the Karim scammer, making them less attractive for investment.

That's the challenge with timing. No one knows when the operator will decide to push the price. Even if you manage to catch a bottom or top once or twice, it's largely luck. The real issue arises when the share price starts moving significantly, and you end up missing out.
In cases like this, it's often best to hold and refrain from taking action. If the price declines, you can consider buying more. If you don't have the funds to buy, just wait patiently.
2024-02-27 17:40 | Report Abuse
Sarawak's energy sector is experiencing significant development. MINETEC currently holds a market cap of 300 million. Just last month, they secured a contract worth 250 million, equivalent to the entire market cap.
Imagine the impact if Abang secures a billion-dollar project for MINETEC in Sarawak. The company's topline and earnings could skyrocket.
2024-02-27 17:36 | Report Abuse
Yes, you're correct. When Abang joined SCIB, his aim was to eventually take over the company. However, because SCIB and his vision didn't align, he left.
Abang then chose to get involved with MINETEC, acquiring a majority stake and negotiating with the previous owner to step down. The ESOS you saw earlier was part of this agreement.
Now that Abang has secured his position, all that's left is to wait for more projects to come to MINETEC.

Does anyone here know about charts? Maybe you can suggest others when to buy more shares? I think everyone here must be interested in this stock, or they wouldn't be on this forum.

No one can say for sure how long Abang will stay in MINETEC. He's the majority shareholder now, meaning he owns the company. If he decides to leave, someone else would have to buy from him.
But, I don't think Abang is foolish enough to take over as majority shareholder only to leave after six months. If he wanted short-term gains, he wouldn't need to become a majority shareholder; he could trade in other stocks for quicker profits.
Abang's position in MINETEC indicates his commitment to the long term and his intention to benefit from the SARAWAK Abang Jo era. That's my perspective.
2024-02-27 11:27 | Report Abuse
Abang must have big plans for MINETEC. Why else would he spend so much money to become the main owner and replace the old management?
Check out the chart, find your way in, and wait calmly.
2024-02-27 11:13 | Report Abuse
I'm not the best at understanding charts and predicting short-term price movements. I'm not sure about the best times to buy or sell. Is 0.165 the lowest point? I really can't say. It could be, or maybe not.
However, I really think MINETEC is changing for the better in 2024. Just look at the huge contract they just landed—it's as big as the company's whole market value! They've never managed to secure a deal this large before. So, I believe this marks the start of a major positive change for MINETEC.
2024-02-27 11:08 | Report Abuse
Just a reminder, last month MINETEC got a huge contract extension worth RM250 million, which is as big as its entire market value. And that's just for the engineering part of their business.
I think MINETEC will get even more projects soon, especially with the Sarawak Renewable Energy plan coming up.
2024-02-27 11:04 | Report Abuse
The next quarterly report's results, whether they're good or bad, won't really change things much for Minetec. It's important to look at the bigger picture, not just one report. Abang just became the boss of MINETEC last month. There's not much anyone can do in just one month to make the next report look great.
We should really be paying attention to what's happening in Sarawak. Minetec is going to do well because of these changes. The old days under Taib are done, and now it's Abang Jo's time. It's smart to invest in companies that will grow with Abang Jo's plans. That's the way to go.

As of now, there hasn't been any recent update. You can refer to the CEO's latest statement where he mentioned that Sapura Energy Bhd is in the final stages of completing its restructuring scheme with lenders and trade creditors.
I shared with our fellow shareholders last week that the restructuring scheme with the creditors has been finalized. The banks have agreed to a haircut and an extension of the payment period.
We should keep an eye out for an official update from the management in the near future.

This individual is exceptionally bothersome and frequently instigates conflicts with shareholders within the group.
Upon investigation, we discovered that he had cut his losses at 0.035. It's no surprise that he's excessively pessimistic about Sapura Energy and consistently trolls shareholders in the telegram group.
What motivates someone to act in such a way? If you've cut your losses, it's best to move on. So why linger in the group? And if you choose to stay, why engage in trolling other shareholders?
Interestingly, this CANYON character quietly LEFT from the Telegram group after Sapura Energy gained a remarkable 70%! Hahahaha.

Dear fellow shareholders,
I hope this update finds you well. It has been some time since I last shared information with all of you, and I believe it's important to keep you informed about recent developments. Please note that the following update is specifically intended for shareholders, and if you have a negative outlook or encourage others to cut losses, I kindly request you to refrain from reading further.

Sapura Energy is currently undergoing a significant development in its restructuring efforts. According to the information I have received, there are several key elements involved in this process.
Firstly, there will be the establishment of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to facilitate the restructuring. This SPV will likely involve the collaboration of the government and Petronas, the national oil company of Malaysia.
Additionally, there is news about a potential golden handshake from the government to support Sapura Energy's restructuring. The details and extent of this arrangement are not yet fully disclosed.
Another important aspect is the involvement of CDRC (Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee), a team associated with Bank Negara Malaysia, the central bank. They are reportedly working internally to ensure a smooth restructuring process for Sapura Energy.
As part of the restructuring plan, there is a proposed injection of RM1.8 billion into the company. Also, approximately RM0.8 billion in loan will be allocated for repaying existing loans.
These developments are considered as internal measures and can be seen as a form of bailout to support the company's sustainability.
For the creditors, it is expected that there will be a haircut of more than 50% on the outstanding debts. This means that creditors will need to accept a reduction in the amount owed to them.
The urgency to prevent Sapura Energy from going bankrupt is evident, and efforts are being made to settle outstanding obligations to creditors in a timely manner. As part of the deal, creditors have the option to accept a 60% haircut and receive the funds promptly. However, if they choose not to agree, they may have to wait for the process to unfold, which could potentially take a significant amount of time.
It is crucial to monitor further updates and official announcements from Sapura Energy regarding the details and progress of this restructuring plan.
Regards,
DatoT20 (Sapura Shareholders, Diamond hand, Skin in the game, AkuYangBeliKauYangPANAS)

LATEST UPDATE!
After a series of constructive negotiations with its creditors, I have been informed that SAPURA ENERGY has reached an agreement with the banks (MAYBANK is the largest Creditor) regarding its debt restructuring plan. This achievement reflects the company's commitment to resolving its financial constraints and optimizing its financial structure.
PNB and MAYBANK can team up to help SAPURA ENERGY with its Debt problems.
Who's Who:
PNB (Permodalan Nasional Berhad): They own a lot of SAPURA ENERGY's shares, (Majority shareholder)
MAYBANK (Malayan Banking Berhad): They lent SAPURA ENERGY money, and now they want it back. (Creditor)
Because PNB owns a lot of the company, they have the power to talk to both SAPURA ENERGY and MAYBANK. They can help them work together to find a solution. PNB can make sure that both sides feel good about the deal. This way, SAPURA ENERGY can solve its debt, and MAYBANK can get their money back.
