In 2013, power company PT Lestari Banten Energi (part of the Genting group) was
seeking to finance a USD 998m project to build a 660MW coal-fired power plant
in Banten, West Java, Indonesia. The power plant (“Banten”) is due to commence
production in 2017, and leverages best-in-class technology combined with high energy
efficiency. The company signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with state
offtaker PT PLN Persero (PLN) to purchase 100% of the project output.

Several coal-consuming industries are likely to remain operational in Vietnam along with the power stations even as the government intensifies efforts to contain the coronavirus outbreak. But health-related precautions may result in labour challenges.

State-run utility EVN has set a target to increase generated and purchased power output this year by 8.9pc compared with 2019 to 251.62TWh. The company's total power supply, including its own generation and power that it purchased, reached 231.1TWh last year, an increase of 8.85pc from 2018.

Vietnam commissioned 1.2GW of new coal-fired generation capacity last year to bring its total to 19.2GW. It is set to bring 2.1GW on line this year and has 3.7GW of capacity under construction that is scheduled to come on line in 2021 and another 3.2GW under construction to launch in 2022. A further 870MW is planned to come on line in 2022, although construction has not started.

As neutral, i think James Ng target price always set low so that his follower will able to reach. He had been keep revising higher for his target price for Jaks after reach it.

Despite showing negative result yoy on the previous 2 qr for MFCB, i dont see a decline in share price from Aug 2019.

Jaks share price moving in the opposite as there is lack of clarification on potential power plant profit.
Even on the last agm, nothing was tell as well.

Hope OTB can verify with ALP on DK66 analysis.
