Actually the oil realized price is better than my expectation.

If you go through the QR report more detail then u will actually find the EBITA is actually good la. 35% increase because of oil price hikes.

The tax is actually causing probs here as it is positive 1 mil last QR and negative 2 mil this QR.

So this 3 mil actually cause the QOQ increase is not that great.

My only concern is only the cost of sales pretty high though. Curious on what contributes to it. The maintenance and the fixing of the gas lift system?

but the report worth a lot of reading though.
Of course includes the sibeh long prospect, lol.

At least i prefer a long detail QR report rather than a few page QR report.

But for oil production, the oil tanker will collect oils from anasuria fpso about every 3 month with approximately 250,000bbl. And the price will be determined between BP and hibiscus based on market price and some discount perhaps.

The oil produceds daily, and the rate seems pretty constant. So i dont think hibicus is full blast on oil production because of the oil price hike.

Nothing much new though, but still i like the way hibiscus is updating their slides really often which really transparent on how are they doing in recent few months.

Hibiscus oil tank vessel unload during NOV time where that time the USD still around 4.2-4.1 range. Oil price is 60-65 range.

So the oil up more than up from 51.54 (Hibiscs Q4 oil realized price)to 60 (min to be on safe side) which increase about 15% while USD drop about 5%.

Plus we havent consider the production rate yet. Q4 report the lowest production rate of all time.

So this quarter pretty high chance to report QOQ increase. Just the matter of how many percent only.

Anyway, there's still the risk where maybe something wrong with the prouduction rate which deterioratesto less than 80%.

Hibiscus split the production maintenance half to Q3 and half to Q4.
So for me this is a smart move where it distribute the downtime across 2 quarters to prevent a sudden abrupt decrease in benefits in single particular quarters.

Q3 actually reported the lowest production online time across last 6 quarters at 70%. Their aim is to maintain at 85% across the year.

chartmaster, the shutdown is planned. and it distribute half to previous Q4 and this half to this coming Q1.
So the production online time should be at least on par, but should be improving

Yes, the increase in the rig count or the change in oil price will not that fast being shown in company's report as all those need to average out 3 months at least. It is like a knee jerk effect as oil price slump down.

Yet, slumps of dow jones and slump in oil price create a even worse market sentiment on OG stocks. So i guess it will be a pretty ugly monday for all OG stocks.

Well, i guess the sudden break of 60usd/bbl did shock all the shale oil driller and opec/non-opec. They will have to find a balance point before screwing each other up.
Now continue slump of crude oil price, shale oil will suffer deeply as well. Man, they are really digging a grave for themselves on all these aggressive expansion.

Hmm, crude oil drop damn fast to less than 60 usd now.

Well, I don't bash the counter just because I sold off dy. Just continue to give my opinions because I followed this counter so closely for months, and if there are good opportunity I will still re-enter. The fundamental is still there, but as I mentioned before is the external force is more prevalent than the company's FA in determining the price direction. And the 0.850 support I shared, now is broken too by the external force. So be careful n remember what I warned if happen (well it did happened).

Er...how come strengthening MYR is bad for hibiscus, while oil is traded in USD?
The sales of oil (USD) when convert back to MYR, it will show an increase in revenue even with the same oil price and amount of oil sold
