If you check through Ali Baba, you can find hundreds of supplier. This is a very very low entry barrier business and the end product has no distinctive advantage and treated as commodity. Prices for these fibers can fluctuate up and down from USD130 - 200. If you check all the supplier and producers, you will find that a lot of them are making loss. Why? Even if you compare the pioneer in EFB fibers like GGS, they are also making losses.
So, do you think this business is sustainable?

Pls do your homework. If you are the owner, will you sell at 37sen controlling stake for a mere 6m where you can reap much much more by holding on to the share. I don't think anyone will consider anything less than RM1.00 knowing very well that it worth more than that. The new owner played a very good strategy and too bad if we fell into their trap by selling cheap. Then we are really bloody fool!
