ezobear, sometimes it is not that straightforward... if the boss wanna con the small investors, he can still buy some to create a "fake illusion" that upcoming quarter will be good... but at the same time, when the price is pushed up, he can then offload more shares... so there is no 100% guarantee that buying before QR release is an indication of good result ahead and vice versa. directors can even buy when they already know that the upcoming result is bad for the 2 reasons:
1) trying to comfort the shareholders and instill confidence in them, so that they won't do panic selling when the result is out
2) like what i just said (if the directors are not honest), they can jack up the price then sell.. hopefully Homeriz management will not do this...

how much you want to push up to? let me know ya so that i can collect... haha...

haha... stupid Deutsche Bank... guess who is manipulating Deutsche Bank at the back to play down the share price?
2017-01-06 09:30 | Report Abuse
Deutsche Bank is one of the lousiest banks in the world... and guess who is manipulating the bank behind to push down the price?

haha... agree, this company will be going to PN17 very soon... lousy company! last time the volume and price was manipulated by the big shark KYY.... no fundamental at all...

raider, no need bother what others said... i believe you are making handsome profit in terms of % on your capital, based on your analysis and homework...

haha... raider... what a good example...

Raider, no need care what this sxckperformer said... he missed the boat so he is very beh syiok now... haha... from what he said, it is very obvious la.. sour grapes all over his eyes...
in his "so-called" theory, companies should never borrow money and all companies that have debts are bad companies.. haha...
that is a super narrow-sighted and shallow view by just judging on the debt alone, without considering other parameters as a whole such as:
1) Is the debt manageable?
2) what is the net debt/equity ratio?
3) is the cash flow healthy? any free cash flow net of capex? etc...
perhaps his FA level is too low for him to understand the overall financials as a whole.. but it is really sickening to see this kind of half-filled tin to act like a FA sifu...
look at QL resource for an example... how much it has doubled, trippled & quadrupled over the years, despite their relatively high debts? you all can check the balance sheet of QL, its debt/equity ratio is much higher than Evergreen's but if you study in detail, their balance sheet is still pretty healthy due to good cash flow...

HSL has been making consistently good profit every year (never once made a loss in any quarter) and in net cash position (zero debt).. free cash flow is healthy too... the next stimulus is the earning growth from these mega projects... so i am in for it...
2017-01-05 11:19 | Report Abuse
some nay-sayer will be surprised by HSL upcoming quarterly results (from the 2 mega projects) and thumped his heart for not buying it right... haha

in fact, the latest quarter sees a huge drop in the net profit so i cannot reason why it shoots up a lot recently....
2017-01-05 10:32 | Report Abuse
so for now, i think it is more likely that the big players (perhaps the owners) are pumping the share price for their dumping later...
2017-01-05 10:31 | Report Abuse
UncleSam, no doubt that this company is making profit every year.. but the major problem is there is no growth seen for years.. the revenue and net profit has been stagnant at 15-16million & 4-5millions every year... this is a very conservative family-owned business so i do not see any big surprise in their share price appreciation... anyway, just my 2 cents...

paperplane, true that after ex-div, the share price will go down.. but i like it that way actually.. with lower price, more ppl will think the share price is "cheaper" and will attract more buying (although not cheaper actually)..

this is interesting:
“In fact, the market was ascribing a higher valuation to Malaysia AirAsia and AAC in 2014 at a lower earnings base,” says the report. “Despite the combined entity’s Ebitdar [earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortisation and rent/restructuring] base being 82% higher than 2014-2015 levels, its enterprise value is still 11% below its 2014 average.”
let me highlight:
its enterprise value is still 11% below its 2014 average.
if you understand FA/value investing in more detail, you know you should judge if a share price is reasonable at its enterprise value... in other words, AA is cheaper than it was in 2014 in terms of enterprise value...

traderman, u seem to see thing in a too direct way... yes, big players are unloading, no doubt, but do you know how they play the game?
say they have 1 billion shares, they started selling down from RM3.00 to RM2.20 using 5million million shares to cause panic selling... in between, when the price is about RM2.50-Rm2.20.. they play even smarter game.. in this period, the sell 2 millions shares, but buy back maybe 6 millions shares.. so net purchase is 4 million... and when the price go lower, they do not need to sell anymore as others will be selling due to the butterfly effect.. so they can buy more... yes, they have a lot of funds.. forgot about how they manipulated the case last year to pushed down AA price to 77sen? this is a repeat of it... and when ppl started to realize AA is oversold due to emotional/panic selling and AA is still doing good fundamentally.. more ppl will buy and the share price to go up again.. and then these sharks will unload again...
by the time the share price has gone up, they maybe already own 2 to 3 billions of shares (compared to previous 1billion shares)... and they can sell at high price (slowly so that the selling pressure is not high) at much higher volume...

oolongteh, you have a valid point here...3-4sen of EPS selling at 60sen, which is PE 15-20...
perhaps big players are waiting to sell so they pump up the price first...

so you can see that there is quite a big chunk of revenue (close to 50%) that comes from Thailand... and Thai revenue is growing if you compared to previous years... so your concern is not valid

hi stockmanmy, perhaps you do not understand Evergreen well enough, in fact, they have factory in Thailand too (not just Malaysia). In fact, they have factory in Indonesia too but the revenue is not much there... for Thailand revenue Vs Malaysia revenue, it is RM99.88million vs RM123.37million (as of 30 Sept 2016)...

nvm, guys, i mark my words here.. let's check back in 9 months-1year time on evergreen price.. see if it is going up or not... no need argue so much...

haha.. idiot starts diverting his topic.. see, no balls to even answer his double standard?
why no-balls? bcoz of his PERSONAL AGENDA la woooi.... haha...
2017-01-04 12:50 | Report Abuse
who has personal agenda?
who is not honest?
2017-01-04 12:49 | Report Abuse
haha... guys, see, idiot went mad.. coz he was caught red-handed again by me for being double standard on Evergreen and FLBHD...haha... i dun expect him to provide any answer as i know he sure does not have an answer...
Evergreen is making good profit every quarter (despite lower than last year due to stronger MYR in previous quarters) but was totally ignored by idixt, and is said to be "dropping net profit each quarter"..
on the other hand, FLBHD is also making less proft but was termed as "Each quarter with good healthy profits.."...
haha... see the difference?
2017-01-04 12:43 | Report Abuse
haha... idixt is now mad as he was caught red-handed in pumping the shares he bought (so-called personal agenda)
2017-01-04 12:42 | Report Abuse
guys.. u all see how double standard and inconsistent this idixt is...
on Evergreen, he claimed that net profit has been dropping so it is not a good buy.. but he advocates a buy on flbhd which sees net profit dropping for many quarters too...
http://klse.i3investor.com/servlets/forum/800001831.jsp
see how he manipulated his words?
why he didn;t even mention about the drop of net profit for 3 consecutive quarters on FLBHD?
he mentioned: Each quarter with good healthy profits..
caught red-handed...
it is the similar scenario here.. 2015 was very good year for both Evergreen and FLBHD due to strong USD.. so 2016 results we see net profit dropped due to stronger MYR... but this idixt is super double standard here... haha... u all can see it right?
2017-01-04 12:36 | Report Abuse
Evergreen5101, pls stop talking to idixt.. talking to idxit makes us feel like idixt too.... i am here to clarify to other investors so that they won't be mislead by manipulated statements
2017-01-04 12:33 | Report Abuse
and how sure can he be to say we are stuck in high price?
I wish i can share my portfolio with % of return on Evergreen to prove i am not stuck... anyone can advise how to share picture here?

i am 200% sure he owns Hevea and some other shares above that he mentioned...
2017-01-04 12:32 | Report Abuse
haha...some idixt slammed his own face with his own words:
idixt said:
Never expect honesty from such people who have personal agenda.
then he promoted the stocks that he bought...
Dump Evergreen. Buy Hevea, Latitude, Liihen, Homeriz, Sign, Shh, Pohuat, Flbhd, Jaycorp.
this is PERSONAL AGENDA!!!
caught red-handed.. how pathetic for an idixt not to discover himself as an idxit.. haha...
2017-01-04 10:10 | Report Abuse
i would suggest this idixt to sign up class from KC Chong first before he tells whether Evergreen is healthy or not...
2017-01-04 10:10 | Report Abuse
i even posted a few very long posts to explain that.. wise ppl can tell whether i answered or not...

2017-01-04 10:08 | Report Abuse
guys... i have chosen not to reply to idxot.. so i am telling you all here.. i dun understand why some idixt keeps saying i have not answered his stupid question.. in fact, i had answered with proof and slammed his face hard with my valid answers..
