Mr Ooi. I like to read your articles and appreciate your effort in writing them every week for free to i3investors. It is good to have you around for guiding us on TA and sharing your knowledge and experience. But like others, I respect your decision.

I remembered not long ago on 11 july WCT proposed issue MTN then the next day announced good news on new contract award. I do not know whether there will be anymore good news coming soon after this MTN. But looking at what happened yest and today, it is obvious panic selling out of fear that comes from don't know where, as wb did not move like the mother. Probably speculators.
While there are so many panic seller having fear, some others are greedy picking the warrant up (warren buffet rule?).
I am still holding a position in wct and warrants. I prefer to wait for this panic selling to be over than cutting loss for no reason (as wct is doing well fundamentally with strong orderbook and with potential big contracts local and oversea).

I read of the 10% stop loss rule from an investing book on the first month of my trading. Till now I just can't do it well and don't know whether it's a good idea for certain case..

What if the loss more than 10%? Still can use the rule?

I think it also depend on luck man. I once cut loss at 25% thinking to stop further loss, 2-4 days later the price rose by more than 35%!! I almost knock my head on the wall really. Why can't i wait for a while more? Totally collapsed. So what do you say on that? Yeah. That case may not happen every now and then.. My bad luck.. So for me it is a real difficult rule to follow. But I do agree it is a good rule. I wouldn't have gone through this if i have had cut loss at 10%. Just the implementation part need real good discipline which I am sure I will take a long time to learn after that experience.

Honestly it is very hard to resist the temptations of speculating.. How you do it? .. Like you speculate that a particular news will drive up the price for a while.. Without much change in the company's fundamentals. Market react to news.. Traders can make big money just by buying on rumours or news. So it's really tempting..

How long do you normally hold on to a good stock? You long all the stocks? Do you sell when you feel it's overvalued?

KC Loh, as always, your comment is very helpful. At least I don't feel it's long winded. But it doesn't sound easy at all. Too judgemental. Normally when research analyst derive SOP valuation, do they factored in potential future revenue from projects or markets which have not been confirmed but in the news?

By the way, which method do you use to derive fair value? Is it manually derived or using software? Net assets? Present value of future cash flows? I always have problem in getting the cash flows growth rate (from Reuters).. Don't know which is the fair rate to use. I know there is no best or accurate method... Just like to know more varieties of approaches used in practice.

EPF buying and selling are very common for all stocks. Selling may mean pulling down the price to collect more. (Just a guess)

Anyway, WCT has very good prospect and fundamentals. These shall be reflected in the share price. Time will tell.. So lets wait for the bearing of fruits!
