KUCHING: Kerajaan Persekutuan menyokong penuh komitmen Sarawak dalam mempercepat pembangunan dan baik pulih sekolah serta klinik daif di negeri ini melalui konsep pembayaran tertunda yang mengurangkan kerenah birokrasi.

Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim berkata, pihaknya bersedia memberikan kelulusan segera untuk negeri ini menyegerakan pelaksanaan projek sekolah dan klinik daif di seluruh negeri asalkan dilakukan mengikut peraturan kewangan.

Atas komitmen tersebut, beliau mengumumkan kelulusan peruntukan RM100 juta untuk segera dibayar kepada Kerajaan Sarawak, susulan Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari mengumumkan beliau menyediakan RM200 juta untuk menyegerakan projek dengan ketetapan disiapkan dalam tempoh 18 bulan.

“Kesediaan saya memberi laluan kepada Sarawak menjalankan projek menggunakan peruntukan kerajaan negeri terlebih dahulu dan kemudian dibayar oleh Persekutuan adalah bagi mempercepat pelaksanaan projek.

“Kita perlu baiki sekolah daif, klinik daif bahkan membina Pusat Kanser Sarawak. Kalau boleh disegerakan, kita segerakan dan luluskan. Kalau tidak, Sarawak boleh laksanakan dahulu. Ini memudahkan urusan dan tidak payah birokrasi yang menyebabkan kelewatan,” katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian ketika berucap pada Majlis Makan Malam Sambutan Gawai Dayak Sarawak 2024, di sini, sebentar tadi.

Tambahnya, keputusan yang dicapai antara Kerajaan Persekutuan dengan Kerajaan Sarawak itu akan memudahkan urusan dan memberikan kesejahteraan kepada rakyat, khususnya di luar bandar.

“Sehubungan itu pada Isnin ini, saya akan mengarahkan Menteri Kewangan untuk meluluskan peruntukan RM100 juta bagi tujuan tersebut dan dibayar segera kepada Sarawak.
