Certainly not PublicInvest which early this month call for sell of this stock. They have been a pain in the ass for many stocks and in many occasions, sending out sell call indiscriminately. This caused many panicked sellers to sell off their stocks for a loss, not knowing how much the potential of the stock up ahead. Some institutions have agendas, and theirs may not be good for the public but for safeguard their own interest.

If you were to calculate full receiving RM1.06 dividend, you need to look at the original stock price when reveived dividend which is somewhere ar RM3.00 hence ylknock off the amount, you are making at least 15% loss at current price. I have wrote last week, dump AA now and buy other potential stocks. Come back to check in early 2020 because 2H19 results will be bad for AA. Meaning the price will slowly but surely go down. You wont make money from here for the next couple of months. Long term investor mentality? Thats bullshit unless you think you are TF who owns the company. Its business, dont get personal.

Price up on construction prospect. Up yes but there wont be limit up or 70% up in such short period. Dont listen to people giving crazy advise.

There would hardly be improvement for this counter as their qtr reports most likely bad for until 2nd qtr nxt year. This july-sep may not be good due to many factors affecting cost and travelling. Bigpay will eat huge marketing cost for now. Restaurant..only idiots will think they can franchise out to make billions. It is hard to absorb losses but pain is necessary. Get out when price is right and put other counters first. Reposition yourself and wait early next year to see how the 2nd half airasia perform. Otherwise you will bleak real bad. Seriously there are plenty of places to fully develop first in KL than kg baru. There is no need to buy it out now when govt is tight in financial capability. Spend it on necessary and ongoing project like BM first. Govt should focus and encourage more news on current big projects to lift the market sentiment and confidence than shooting blanks all over with news neither here nor there.

Penalty or court judgement sum is peanut amount to the turnover. Losses made from higher cost from other factors which he or his accounting team should have anticipated before he opens his mouth. Ikan bilis cant ignite fire dude. There need to be bigger sharks pushing the price first, then the flow will follows. Same goes the opposite way. So it is pointless to hard sell buy call here, as it makes insignificant chances to the price. That is why i suggest some of you go pester tony in his tweeter. He alone makes a million of ikan billis here. Dont waste your bullets here.

There are many stocks out there thst makes 60-100% increase in price this year alone. AA was not one of it so dont claim huge profit. It is just ok only.
There is some doubt over the coming QR report, which is why price stagnant. If foreigner selling, that make it worst. Hopefully once dividend payout, some big player will help buy to push price up. Big players means TF and the boards. They hold substantial shares. Perhaps some here should pester Tony more in his tweeter account rather.

By the look of the price movement even so close to report out, highly like revenue increased but profit dropped. Pity price dropped so bad after ex dividend. Meaning those who buy before, are losing money and you are paying your own lobster.

Price had stayed for way too long. If still wait for us to top up, it means the qtr result is screwed, and which is why there is no rally. U had better pray it goes up and up coz the price is way below ex date price as of todate.

During BN time, AA price collapsed from above RM4 to below RM1. If BN time still now, AA would be RM0.05 left. BN is worst.

Dayang may square only after this quarter. Given that most jobs already on hand, they won't go down for this year. Hence, the comin qtr result will still be good. It won't drop big time. No need to sound alarm now.

True. Which is why i said it might take months if not years. If it took too long, then it defeat the purpose of calling for dividends because price of stock can go up even without dividends.

Unless the price shoot up to rm2.90 by this month or so, dividend of rm0.90 is as good as putting money from your left to your right pocket. Many companies nowadays declare dividends but the price never reach back to the ex dividend price. That is a rip off. As a matter of fact, current AA price still far below ex. It was almost rm0.30 drop from ex date price but recover some foot. Having a huge rm1.00 to climb, it probably takes months or perhaps never if the selling volume keep strong.

It is meant for people with egoistic problem like yourself Dinasd123 who keep cursing others for no reason. I don't need your respect. You just need to behave. Forum is for ideas and news and leave out vulgarity.

You don't have to read if it waste your royal time. Likewise, you don't have to follow kyy advise too as he didn't point a gun to your head. Choice is always in your hand.

I am nearly 87 years old and in my long life time I have accumulated a lot of useful knowledge which I like to share with whoever is interested. That is why I have written and posted useful articles frequently on my own blog and on i3investor.com. If you are interested to read all my article, you can google koonyewyin.com.

Unfortunately, there are many egoistic and unscrupulous commentators, hiding behind some anonymous names, making senseless comments on my articles which I post on i3investor. Some are annoying and discouraging. That is why I do not respond to any comment. Nevertheless, I accept useful criticisms because I know that a lot more things I do not know. I have a lot more to learn in life.

To some extent, I am egoistic which has been pushing me forward to improve myself. It is my ego that has enable me to make so many successful achievements.

My purpose of writing this piece is teach you how to manage your ego and know the difference between ego and self-respect.

Open to criticism

One of the biggest hurdles for us to accept any criticism is our ego. What is Ego? Ego is our false-self; it is a cover up for our insecurities. Ego leads us to reject other’s opinions which is counterproductive for our development. Ego closes our mind and obstructs our vision so that we cannot see anything other than the ideas of our own. Deepak Chopra, a well-known spiritual leader, has written – “The ego relies on the familiar. It is reluctant to experience the unknown, which is the very essence of life.”

One big challenge in managing ego is not to hurt our self-respect (or self-esteem). There is a fine line between Ego and self-respect. And there is always a risk of hurting our self-respect if we try to restrain the ego. It is for this reason; it is important to understand the difference between the Ego and self-respect.  The very basic difference is – ego is negative and counterproductive while self-respect is positive and sign of confidence.

What is Ego?

In my opinion, Ego is the feeling of supreme. It is an attitude of thinking ourselves superior to others. Ego obstructs the open mind as it gives lot of importance to self while rejecting other personalities and point of views.

It is an unhealthy attachment to self; Ego persists because we deeply attach ourselves with our ideas. This attachment leads us to resentment; we resent any thought of making our idea inferior to others. Due to this resentment we show negative emotions while facing a contrasting opinion. We argue, become angry and even try to intimidate to make our idea stand out.  We are so attached to our idea that we just cannot see it coming second to someone else’s idea. Let go this attachment and ego will also be gone.

What is Self-Respect?

From above argument, one can ask me. How about if my idea is truly the best? Should not I fight for my idea then or would that also be ego? The answer is – now you know your idea is BEST. The associated feeling is of confidence and self-assurance. While in ego the associated feeling is of insecurity and fear.

Let me give you an example – A four-year-old kid comes to you and says something negative. Would you be offended or take it on your ego? I don’t think so because you are self-assured and confident against a four-year-old. But if a colleague comes to you and say something negative. What happens then? This time you do take it on your ego.  What is the differentiator between your responses to these two criticisms?  In my opinion, the difference is your own confidence level.  You are confident against a four-year-old but become in-secured when a colleague or boss or neighbor criticizes you. You must build your confidence to the level where ego will disappear.

When we are self-assured and confident against a contrasting opinion – it is self-respect. In this situation we respect our own opinion while giving importance to other opinion as well. But when we have ego then we become in-secured and scared. We close ourselves in a shell thus not respecting other’s point of view. Ego leads us to argument, anger and ultimately to pain and hurt. However, self-respect leads us to stability and peace.

Managing Ego

The best way of managing ego is to break the unhealthy attachment with the self. This unhealthy attachment does not let us to appreciate other’s point of view. By “breaking the attachment” I do not mean to not respect your own idea. That will be hurting the self-respect.  Respect your own idea but also listen to other’s point of view. By ‘breaking the attachment’ I meant to detach ourselves from the behavior causing ego.  Respect your opinions but not to the extent that you become defensive.

Active stocks like Green Packet or Ekovest has 10 times more buyers than sellers. Why AA so weak? Great number of buyers but equally great number of sellers too?

@KK Homily Chart? Apps? Who is holding the funds..the banks or GP? If still there meaning bankers have not purchase the stock yet? And happen after they do?

KK. Can you enlighten further. What and why bankers has to be distributed? How to see from chart they are distributed?

Mr yong. So how now for Malaysian? Stock up food, lock in house and wait for armageddon? What are you suggesting? Dont go to all stock forums as I see your name in others too and spread such dreadful news without making fruitful suggestions. Malaysia market will sure collapse if we have a million you.
