Hi faralenz, u mean these?
Bornoil suffering losses? https://ibb.co/co41g5
Monthly chart trend https://ibb.co/iUzbg5
Weekly chart trend https://ibb.co/czKyuQ
Maybe I failed my maths, don't know numbers or I couldn't see where is up or down or some logic. I should reflect myself lol. Tq

XAU retreated to low 1281.20 nicely in-line with 50% fib-retracement. US rate hike is priced in since everyone knows Yellen has assured to hike 1 more time by end of the year. I hope Bornoil's XAU trading team would perform smartly.

mililia, yes that 70% shareholding doesn't mean much but the mainstay to my speculation that there will be further corporate exercises is that Bornoil will need more capital to implement its grand plan of setting up the sole integrated cement plant in Sabah. The costs of setting up such plant requires capital in hundreds of millions at the minimum. To back my claim, CMSB had built such facility in Mambong, S'wak at a cost no less than RM 190 millions. Judging from Bornoil's balance sheets, it will either borrow from banks, internally-generated funds or private placements. Historically, Bornoil had raised money from the second approach (internally-generated funds) where it benefits & protect shareholders' interests at its best. Though I don't rule out the possibility that Bornoil would resort to the other approaches or a combination of them but I believe that the company would most likely go for the second approach.
CMSB's own integrated cement plant in Mambong, S'wak costing RM 190 millions and it took no less than 18 months from setting up to fully commissioning it https://ibb.co/mmHk65
This is still logically inclined to what executive director Teo Kiew Leong mentioned in the interview with FocusMalaysia dated "22-28 July 2017" magazine issue https://ibb.co/kqr41v (page 1 of 2) where he stated this:
"The company had said the acquisition of limestone quarries for marble production during the fiscal year ended Jan 31 was in preparation for the imminent setting up of an integrated cement plant."
I believe any further corporate exercises aimed at raising more capitals to fund the project of setting up the integrated cement plant will be in 1H 2018 or possibly earlier.

labur88, disregard of any kind of corporate exercises we can be assured that most part of any proposed exercises will still favour the interests of dear shareholders. Tan Sri Lau & family hold in excess 70% of Bornoil and that alone lauded their vested interests and wealth creation in years to come similarly in the earlier years of Hapseng Consolidated.

Gold price still have a long way to go and I'm certain that gold price is on bullish trend at least based on the sentiments and evolving geopolitical tensions. Bornoil is basically a net cash company with minimal borrowings and if it could really reap more profits from its gold mining & trading operations, that could signify a less dependence on future borrowings or fund raising exercises to execute its main catalyst of setting up an integrated cement production plant in eastern Sabah. The cement plant will propel the company into a key monopolistic cement producer not only in Sabah but also in the BIMP-EAGA region due to the plant located in a strategic position. That is neither an exaggeration nor being overrated and we shall witness Bornoil to grow by leaps & bounds when further plans & details are to be revealed soon so be steadfast with patience. Sometimes, words and tones from CEO's & director's statements do hinted out their actual intentions and subsequent strategic plans.

Gold spot traders bought into strategic price points and those open positions will go a long way reaping very lucrative profits and more are yet to come amid geopolitical tensions. Gold jewelers like Pohkong does have high correlation to the movement of XAU spot price since it does have high values in its own inventories of gold products but it's not as closely coupled as gold miners. To really benefit from gold spot price, those gold miners are better choice. There is only one company listed in Bursa that is directly in the gold mining business and interestingly Bornoil is also trading XAU gold spot contracts still have around RM 354,879,000.00 contracts on hand as reported last night after it has 14,700 ounces out of its own inventories.

Good patience always pays off. XAUUSD rallies again going above 1300 level now. Gold spot traders who bought at strategic pricing should be enjoying very good unrealized gains. How much profits do u think Bornoil's XAU spot trading team is reaping even if it decided to sell those spot contracts now? Please have steadfast patience and it will definitely be fruitful for Bornoil shareholders.

ryan8814, how did u compute the figure of 4 tonnes of gold being sold? Based on what I see from its latest inventory report, its 1,200 ounces of LDMA gold is sold off entirely while its XAU spot trade inventory has decreased 13,500 ounces. That totaled up to be 14,700 (416.74 kg) ounces out of its inventory. We could assume the decrease figure indicating a series of selling transactions at varying time period.
The USDMYR ranged from 4.26 to 4.301 in the month of August 2017.
14,700 ounces x USD 1,257.70 (Aug's lowest price) = USD 18,488,190.00 = RM 78,759,689.40
14,700 ounces x USD 1,322.07 (Aug's highest price) = USD 19,434,429.00 = RM 82,790,667.54
Though we couldn't get a proper estimation or hints on the profitability of those XAU trades since those spot contracts' costs could be bought at different time period of previous or current months but we can certainly expect the return of such capital sum back to its balance sheet ranging from RM 78,759,689.40 to RM 82,790,667.54 at the minimum.
The above results will only be reflected in the Q3FY7 and not the Q2FY17 results pending anytime this week. If that has netted a handsome gains, we could expect a brighter Q3FY17 going forward.

The crown of the jewels will be its highly prized limestone/clinker division in which we'll see how that will transform the group into a monopolistic integrated cement producer in the entire Sabah. Tan Sri Lau's vested interest in Bornoil is obviously being assured with the fact that his stakes being a major cornerstone shareholder of Bornoil in excess of 70% controlling stakes. I believe a series of corporate exercises will uncover the major plans of the group emphasizing on the limestone division being the major catalysts ahead.

I may not know everything but one thing I'm sure is that Hapseng or ultimately Tan Sri Lau Cho Kun (Gek Poh Holdings & Victoria Capital) who is also ranked the sixth richest person in Malaysia is not even interested in normal land assets in Sabah but true real gem rare assets that not many people or entities neither can afford nor it could be bought simply with money. Look at the list of land assets that Bornoil already owns.

Only very few people in Malaysia have come across very unusual Sabah land titles. Some are even dated & issued during the North Borneo times. On even rare cases, some are not even issued in paper titles but it's so valuable that they were issued in "copper" metal plates. Nowadays, most don't even have the chance to see land titles or the titles of their bricks & mortars assets due to developers inability to chase the process for home buyers.

Ryotan11, a short term targeted returns from share price appreciation is realistic yet it still has a lot of room for more forward appreciation at higher target price since Bornoil has many seriously rare & undervalued land assets lastly valued in the year 2002. To really estimate the valuations of those assets is beyond the estimation of normal investors or valuers because many of those lands it possesses even those lands planted with oil palm trees currently are actually sitting on very rich mineral deposits. You'll need the in-depth knowledge of expert valuers specializing in such mineral studies to estimate its intrinsic valuations. Therefore I could not give u even a sky high valuation numbers. You'll just have to know those lands are very rare and and closely guarded not only by private investors, if u know what I mean. Some of such lands in Sabah are even inherited from many generations ago and not for sale but instead land owners are selling the rights to operate and mine the resources within the lands as concessionaires to buyers/operators. Bornoil is lucky to be able to posses some of those lands with very rich mineral deposits.

Don't buy a stock for its penny-wise price for leverage and gambling's sake. Certainly u don't want to buy into hopes that it may mine gold out of its Bukit Mantri, Tawau mine. You got to check a company's fundamentals first. It will take a lengthy duration to set up and succeed in mining its first pot of physical gold. Bornoil on the other hand has been mining gold successively from its mines with gold reserves on hand.

Hi all, no worries. My main intention is to share out better information on Bornoil and not urging anyone to buy its shares. I took the efforts to share it out because I saw its share price is deeply undervalued against its NTA and it's having deeply rooted intrinsic values & assets yet to be revalued and uncovered.
A mixture of these businesses is still somehow note worthy:
1) Fast food franchises (Sugarbun, Pezzo Pizza, Borneo Asian Food, Aunty Franklee, Tong Meng)
2) Mining operations of limestone (marbles, limestone related products + integrated cement plant to-be set up), physical gold mining & trading of xau gold spot contracts.
3) Tourism yet to contribute but holds lots of tourism coastal & mountainous lands.
Initially, I find it to be interesting to discuss about its XAU gold spot trading business because it has 78,000 ounces of XAU spot contracts which is valued at USD 101,000,000 equivalent to RM 424,866,000 currently. Its market cap right now is already at RM 455,7025,892 @ 0.10 share price. Simple math and that's just one division of the group of companies.

At the moment, the most worthy to watch is the XAUUSD spot price since Bornoil has in excess of 78,000 oz of gold spot contracts in its inventory. It has been adding up many ounces of spot contracts continuously since Feb this year. I'm expecting more XAU contracts to be added to its inventory moving forward.
Take a look at the chronological events of NK missile tests where NK's last failed missile test was in October 19, 2016. Then they succeeded their first medium-range ballistic missile on February 11, 2017. So to match these real events to what Bornoil's own gold spot trading division team is doing, Bornoil has floated almost all of its real gold holdings into XAU gold spot contracts to take advantage of the surging gold spot price and ease of trades.
Bornoil started to float almost all of its real gold inventory into XAU gold spot contracts starting from February 2017:

I bought a lot of long XAUUSD spot contracts myself for the past 2 days. Invest but not gamble. My concern is focused on its main catalysts which are its limestone marble blocks for export markets and the setting up of an integrated cement production plant. To put things into perspectives, it may be safe to say that gold mining has never been intended to be envisioned as the ultimate core business for Bornoil. The reason I'm saying this is due to the fact that of all the 67 land titles (land-based assets) owned by Bornoil, none are actually related to gold mining. If u look through the long list of the brown/green assets it owned, all are located in Sabah. Ironically, none of it are related to gold mining but instead are limestone mining and tourism based. It's important to point out that quarry lands with major limestone reserves remain to be the crown of the jewels totaling with 94.04 acres with 7 land titles.
In fact, Bornoil does not own but operate the 3 major gold mines within Pahang under concessionary and joint-venture agreements. Limestone mining is actually going to be the main core business of the group. Therefore, if my speculation may be correct to certain extent...Bornoil may sell the fast-food (FF) franchise division or even de-merge & listing it under another entity if they could grow its multiple FF brands big enough with commendable FF market share just like BJFood. That is still a speculation but what's a sure thing is that limestone mining is already set in place.
Limestone being the main feedstock for cement production is crucial before any plans of setting up an integrated cement plant. Sabah has been experiencing earthquakes and tremors even still continuously occurring up to recently. Only after u did proper inspections on buildings especially those in the west coast capital Kota KInabalu - Ranau areas, u will find many buildings started to have structural problems with cracks or fractures. This is not a good sight for most residents or occupants therefore it's just crucial for Sabah to have an integrated cement production plant to be able to supply different varying grades of cements to cater for building constructions with better grades and strength. The Sepanggar (KK) plant is only a grinder on clinker to produce portland cement which is considered a common type of cement. For these reasons, the state of Sabah is in dire need of such an integrated cement plant able to supply better grades and varieties of cement products, most importantly to sustain any earthquakes.
CMSB being Sarawak's monopolistic producer & supplier of various grades cement may supply it to Sabah but it incurs logistical premiums. This is also part of the main reason the Pan Borneo Highway must be built to enable better logistics. Until then, the Sabah government is also aware of the urgent need of such integrated cement plant especially to develop the east coast of Sabah as well. As shareholders of Bornoil, we'll see if the limestone division will be transformed into a giant monopolistic cement producer in the state of Sabah where it's the only state without such full-fledged facility.

Invest based on fundamentals is better and safer disregard of short or long terms. No wonder many people feel so insecure nowadays when the share price consolidate because they wish for fast returns in shortest duration if possible.
How many people here are actually investing for its next main catalyst, Sabah's only "integrated cement plant" to be located in the state's east coast? Limestone and gold are the 2 main precious mining materials laying the foundations of Bornoil so I don't believe its other divisions (FF) and (PM) could be able to support themselves as standalone within the group. Usually a name change is to better reflect a company's core business & in this case Borneo Oil may become Borneo.....? That is still a timely decision by the management. The hints are there like hidden Easter eggs to be found.
I understand that it's unavoidable to talk about its Fast Food Franchise (FF) business since that is the root of this company way back in decades ago before ownership shakeups & started to diversify into mining. Personally, I would prefer them to sell off the FF & PM divisions to raise more capital for its ME division. This move would transform the group into a pure play mining & cement giant.
Going forward, I expect its Mining & Energy (ME) division to remain as the biggest contributor while its Fast Food Franchise (FF) division will be cashflow positive but not main earnings mover disregard of top or bottom line earnings. Watch closely on its ME division especially its Limestone quarry for hints and news.
