I do not know much about accounting or Vietnamese monetary policy

both JRB and CPECC are foreign investors in other people land
of course they wish to bring home all the profit they have made
my common sense tell me
it is easier to bring home the dividend than the entire profit
so dividend is definitely not an issue
they are more creative and clever than us

Icon8888 had quoted some examples telling us a fact that we shouldn't be that shortsighted,
recently many strong fundamental companies had announced bad quarter result but the share price move up more than 10% the next day.
Reason?
The price is already deeply undervalued but the fundamental of the company is still the same. As long as long term prospects is good, short-term pain can be ignored.

Relative valuation is most appropriate methodology for the forecast of Jaks power plant earnings. Less hypothetical assumption, no forecast of cash, the best is do not need to ask Andy Ang to verify the truth. He can't do it and he won't do it. The previous experience had told us, we are actually nobody in his eyes, he didn't even bother to meet us, what else can we expect from him. It is better to rely our own effort. It is fair to say jaks has a super strong support around RM1. 00
It is not easy to get it below RM1. 00 unless you are very lucky. Market won't wait for you. Hng33 lagi tak wait for you, he will even pawn his underwear, if it still worth some money, to go all in.

Base on the recent relative valuation done by DK66 and reaffirmed by Icon8888 IRR analysis of 8%disount factor instead of the management number 12%. We are very confident jaks at current level is an absolute steal.

If you already holding some, it is good enough. DO NOT be greedy, DO NOT borrow more money to buy more. You may not have the good karma or pahala or good lucks to earn that more.

If you still do not have any ticket, then you should listen to my sincere advice, cincai-cincai buy some just to avoid the unpleasant feeling of big heart pain when you see others make money and you did not.

Do not wait for lower, it is already reasonably low now. Market always move very fast ahead suddenly, you will most probably miss the boat. Dear OTB,

1. Yes, it will be reported as "share of profit in JV" in Jaks financial statement
2. Yes, the dividend may not be 196m. It maybe more or less depending on the need for cash reserve but it is not likely to be more than the free cash flow of 294m
3. No, profit is certainly 196m regardless of dividend distribution.

I am not an accountant, I need to understand the below questions.

1. Assume the earning of Hai Duong power plant is RM 196 million (30% stake). I believe this earning will be reported as "income from other investment" in Jaks financial report. Am I correct ?

2. This earning or income is channeled back to Jaks Resources Bhd as a form of dividend. This dividend amount may not equal to RM 196 million. The amount will be less than RM 196 million. Am I correct ?

3. If JHDP does not declare any dividend even the earning is RM 196 million. In this case, the "income from other investment" in Jaks financial report is zero.
Am I correct ?

In the aforesaid circumstances, the EPS of Jaks cannot be based on RM 196 million. EPS will be lower or even equal to zero if there is no dividend declared by JHDP.

Please enlighten me.

Luckily ASeng dint name which stock to invest, scare of u, bring bad luck

i am a simple man invest in a simple way
i believe after the global lock down , most probably there is a slow down
i do not like to think too much
i just follow my common sense to invest
i buy power plant and highway or e-government with my own exit TP
i do not need to work hard to promote or spread fear
i believe the sustainability the earning growth itself already a very good catalyst to push the price higher and higher
