Expect price of Ekovest will stay low until LKH successfully increase his shareholder under the merger plan. Jackpot will only come after the merger and the listing of DUKE

My guess is the merger plan is for LKH to increase his shareholding in Ekovest. He’s just holding about 33% now. After merger, his share will be more than 50%. That means he will profit more from the listing of DUKE. So, listing of DUKE will only happen after the completion of the merger & LKH increase his shareholding. The crown jewel in Ekovest is the 3 DUKE highways.

The DUKE highway book value is RM7.9bil in Ekovest accounts. It’s the main asset of Ekovest. Generating appx RM350mil revenue per year. Based on 2021 projection, Ekovest want to list it at RM11 - RM12bil value. If succeed, then there is a windfall of around RM3bil. That’s RM1 per share. So, buy and just wait until 2026.

Ekovest is very cheap now compared to other counters. Very obvious there are operators who are blocking the rise of the price and trying collect it cheap. Buy it or just hold. The block will be removed after enough fools selling it at low price and they clean up those poor people.

Based on last Quarter result, Astro only got RM158mil cash balance. Unlikely enough to cover the tax assessment of RM740mil. The will need new capital raising exercise and this will dilute minority shareholders.

With RM740mil additional tax, it is safer to sell it now. That’s almost half of the company’s market cap. If Astro want to appeal, they will need to pay the tax first before appeal.

Q1 result shows lower revenue and profit because of Covid and MRCB took the prudent steps not to simply launch or undertake new project that time. Realistically, Q2 and Q3 will also be the same because all these new projects can only be billed later. The results will only flow smoothly next year.

There is 2 big upcoming development projects, Bukit Jalil Sentral and Kwasa Damansara.
Note that in Q1 report, MRCB announced that they already got the land for Bukit Jalil Sentral from the government and released from the Land Bond in April, 2024. This was the main issue which is causing delay of the project. So, things will be moving for this project now.

MRCB audited report shows the land value is at RM380mil …..probably for 20% stake held by Rakan Juang in the SPV. 80% already sold to EPF at RM1.07bil

The land was suppose to be given after completion of 2 projects. But now given for just project 1 + extra RM140mil. Note that the land is valued before 2017. Land value now?

Look at page 7 at the Qtr Report. MRCB settled with government over the Bukit Jalil land issue in April, 2024. Land was injected in SPV with EPF at the appx value of RM1.4bil. But settlement is just RM1.3bil for release of the land.
