Spring_chiken/ you have a point. If we read the announcement. It is for business expansion, i.e buying machinery, building factories/enlarging factories etc etc. I think in a short term, there could be weakness in price. Yes the MD and Director may not have sold shares in the open market. There are other means of share disposal right? Albeit without being traced. The direct share percentage of the 2 key directors has changed (lower) as compare to the 2014 end year FY report.
Strong rumours (especially at where this company is situated) were going around saying the TP is RM6. Don't get me wrong, I am not believing in rumours but the questions is what is the catalyst that could move this company? Only if there is catalyst then the price increase could be justifiable or else the business could be very mundane...year in year out almost the same revenue/PBT.
Look at it's peer - Astino. Business seems to be not doing so well similar sales buy margin drop tremendously. With slowdown in property, and increase in imported materials there could be a margin squeeze.
Agree trade with great cautions!.

Private placement would usually be at a discount (of up to 10%) of the Pvt Plcmt is usually based on 5 days average price. So previous 5 days average is estimate to be around 4.16. Let's say it is a discount of 9% from the average 5 days price, the Private placement is at RM3.78 for approximately RM26++ million.
Apparently, net asset after private placement is RM3.73. Current share price is traded at 11% above NTA....
Possibility of share moving downward after this?? may be around 10% as well?

Instead of good news...it is private placement of up to 10% of existing shares which is lot for this counter. EPS now diluted, DPS also gets diluted. Is the stock still undervalued? Like many other counters private placement = Sell !!! Hmm....IVKLS, what is your opinion on this.?

Chankp7010, you are right. What's the catalyst fir growth? The results is nothing to shout about. PBT is almost the same at 2013. There is an increase because 2014 was down. Hmm... Time to exit.

If the paper business is the catalyst, what is the margin? Indonesia and China are 2 major exporter or paper. Even Thailand and Vietnam are into this sector. Can KPSCB compete with the real exporter of paper? As mentioned, their key market is domestic. Are you sure they are exporting AA brand else where? What is the sales volume.? Very curious to know. If your comment as about this paper as export catalyst, then, I would need to revisit my own research.
Frankly, this is the first time I heard that trees for making papers are planted around paddy field. Any idea where is that in Malaysia?
From info that I have the AA paper were cut frim imported paper roll.
Btw, do you know what is the catalyst that drive Ajiya? Your comments about Ajiya is quite general. Ajiya is making announcement for results soon. Which of the products you think is the contributors for growth?
Just sharing info..or opinions

/ playboy I know what I am talking about. I am speaking for a lot of my friends who were caught by this counter. I know shipping industry inside out. Since 10 years ago I have advised many of them not to touch thus counter and again I will do the same here again. So that people are not trapped.
Thoeritically, yoy can make money 100% if the share when up only by 1 cent.
If you know the news and have been calling everyone to buy, why not just announce why you say this counter has potential? Substantiate it.!

Sure a lot of good news and promises. Thus say the government of the day...we will build roads, bridges, houses, schools, tadikas...etc etc. Allocation increase!!! but where are the roads? where are the houses? where are the bridges? Worst is that 80% of the project goes to company in Peninsular and 20% goes to local companies. Then all the teachers, engineers, doctors and etc all from Peninsular....Do you think you Sarawakian gets the benefit?
Trickle down effect? You can be happy with all the perks...in the end it still flow to KL.ahahahaha. No offence to Sarawakian. It is the
reality.
Freight to Sabah & Sarawak and vice versa has to pay GST. Export freight is exempted. That is why shipping company cannot survivelah. Import directly from China/Singapore does not incur GST for freight..so much of protecting local business??...tempuk dada tanya selera perut anda.
MISC, Johan, PDZ all doing shipping in Malaysia loss money!!

What is the catalyst for KPSCB growth?? It is mainly a trading company..Don't see how TPPA can benefit this company. Most business are domestic driven. Their margin is not great 6-7%.

I guess quarterly result is around that time too. Someone asked me would they reward long time investor. I guess they might. What is in the perks could be related to the price hike. I have scanned through list of the shareholders and apparently 87.65% are in the hands of long term shareholder who has not changed position for many many years + the 5.2% bought by the Yeoman this brings the shareholding to 92.8%.
This leaves the floating shares relatively extremely small for a company with on 69 million shares.

This counter has been so quite for more that 15 years. Never revalued their assets since listing. Actual NTA could be higher than reported if there is a revaluation. Secondly, I believe yesterday's news (as reported in some newspaper) regarding PRIMA Housing may benefit building material supplier such as Ajiya.

My 2 cents opinion http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/malaysia/article/ringgit-falls-most-in-3-weeks-as-fed-signals-rates-may-rise-in-2015. Another storm looming. With our local hot political climate coupled with the week commodities prices and possibilities on rate rise, it could be another round of "perfect storm" in the making....any comments??

I also have many in hand. Theme park is definitely on. They are still studying the proposals from various parties. Key driver for future profits is not the theme park. Company is in good hands at the moment. Lets wait for the Budget and see it would impact them (especially Perak).

Bought some last week. was told by a friend to recommended KNM 2 years back. He says something is on...may be bonus issue, may be better results (their FY'15 result would be better than last year), could be acquiring some other company. Some contractor friends also bought in heavily last week. but nobody seems to have an idea why it is moving so steep.
