If you don't feel plantation will rise due to strong profits.. Maybe you are in the wrong forum..

I have a straightforward thinking.... CPO price has been high and able to give a profit margin of more than 50%. Fruits supply has been steadily increasing, while price still sustains. Even if the share price drops, its still worth holding, or even better buy more. No reason to let it go yet.

@sales Glove can increase production but also easy increase competition. Palm you want to start plant now and wait 10 years before tree is prime age for harvest? Or at least 3 to 5 years before can get first harvest. Think bigger la.. Barrier to entry is a huge thing for businesses.. Glove barrier to entry is easy.

@Parksonguy sure the gov may tax more. With tax, the end product of refined oil will just be paid by the consumers like you and me, or anyone who cooks with oil. While profit margins will most likely be maintained, FGV has a full cycle for palm oil, from harvesting palm, sending to mills to obtain CPO, then refineries which will produce what we consume as cooking oil, a.k.a Saji cooking oil. Overall, cost for FGV to produce the final cooking oil is cheap!! because they own everything!!

Thanks, very informative @izoklse, but he failed to mention that tax of palm oil is maxed out at 8.5%. Palm oil has since risen 100% from 2k to 4k. Anyways, 100% - 8.5%= 91.5% gain in profits is not high enough for him i guess.

It's harvest season in South America now... They're not recovering.. There is overly high amount of rain causing harvest to delay. Right now Brazil has only harvested less than half of what they did last year at this time. Soy supply will be low for this year.

@Green88 i believe can lor... if fail, Felda might even offer higher... cpo price now is damn high,.. soy oil price also higher than twin tower now.. they will pull each other up... but till end of the day, these kind of high price on oil will affect our daily life cooking oil price.. food price all will go up.. just my humble opinion.

been waiting for palm rally, and havent come in see this forum for awhile, looks like comment still so hot wanna burn ppl. Worst case is take felda offer, but looking at current cpo run on the futures, does not seem like Felda is going to be successful at 1.30
