该机构表示，仅仅是10月份，棕油价格就上涨了14%，主要是埃尔尼诺现象对出口供应造成压力，加上中东地缘政治担忧加剧、令吉小幅贬值，以及全球燃料市场风险溢价上升。

“然而，我们认为，上述看涨的驱动力是有限的，虽说短期内价格会继续走强，但到了2024年将会消散。”

截至今年9月杪，棕油库存为106万吨。
另外，潜在的B50生物柴油推出时间与速度，也可能会对棕油价格带来一定的上行激励。
