Read more comments asking why they need to borrow money when they got money. Erm, whats the problem? Pchem & Tenaga oso got so much cash, they still borrow.
not sure abt Pchem, but Tenaga got lot of long term debt, owes the banks much more than the cash on hand.
Mayb HENGYUAN is like Tenaga also, anyw the super mgmt must b putting their cash to good use, like earning good returns in FD etc

https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/sumatec-partner-caspioilgas-gas...
Sumatec Resources Bhd's business partner CaspiOilGas LLP has signed a presale gas agreement with Kazakhstan-based NIPIneftegas Consortium (NIPI). The deal includes the sale of 6.2 billion cubic metres of gas to NIPI over 15 years at market price.
Sumatec said the NIPI-led consortium will convert the gas into petroleum products through proprietary gas-to-liquid technology.
Sumatec said the proposed capital expenditure (capex) for the gas utilisation plan which is tied to the gas development production agreement between SRB (Sumatec) and COG (CaspiOilGas) will start at US$60 million (RM236.46 million) and the total capex of the plant over the period to bring it to full capacity will be US$360 million. The first phase of the plant operation is expected to start in 2019.
v. good of the NIPI-led consortium to fully fund the plant to convert gas supply by BaspiOilGas/Sumatec to liquid using their proprietary technology.
just remain the minor matter of how much SRB and COG need to invest first, to pump the gas out( pipeline n all)..n do they have the money ??
then everything shd b hokie tokie !

3 bankers, Maybank(largest bank in Malaysia) China construction bank(2nd largest bank in China) and Ambank must have analysed in details and have full confident before approved USD 430m to Hengyuan. Even Bank Negara Malaysia must have done all the due diligence by looking at all aspects and their financial statements and its business outlook and profit growth before approving this USD430m loan. This is very positive
Oh, yes, Bank Negara Malaysia, has shown they mean business, no play play one, wont stand any nonsense one, like the recent 1MDB incident, show everyone, we can depend on BNM..
..ok, can sleep well tonight..

better to be skeptical a bit, unless the new mgmt show shareholders the money, like in dividends etc

1. Dont understand why HY go borrow more money to upgrade since bank deposit estimate RM1b.
yes, something is not right here, remember history of China owned companies in BURSA, not transparent one

also, observe high volume past 3 days 2,26m,3.6m,1.25m shares turnover, but price hardly move, close at 25 sen.
Wonder, any technical expert can comment, if it is just chunning the shares, to attract people to come in.
need to monitor some more, better to miss the 1st 10% uptrend, then get stuck, the normal vol. is v low, difficult to cabut,

From the way pmaster commented in this forum, I suspect pmaster is actually Vincent Tan. I speculate that if pmaster is truly Vincent Tan, then Vincent Tan has earned enough money from this counter ..
interesting thought, but cannot be VT ,
he has enough headaches on his BJ group of companies to attend to, latest being the China Beijing SkyOcean default of rm601 m payment to BJLAND
https://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2017/12/08/berjaya-land-issues-notice-of-demand-to-beijing-skyocean-for-rm601m/
If VT really got time, wouldnt it b better to play at his own backyard ?

on Choivo @More2It Why would they trade differently? And how differently would they trade? At the end of the day, they want returns.
honestly, i cannot answer this question, because i am not one of them, neither do i know anyone who is.

interesting that u seem to have left out the stock broking firms inhouse investment teams that trade for their own a/c or for clients, banks investment funds,as well as private funds that are legitimate.
These have million to buy n sell, do they trade/invest the same way as you n i ?

benefited from your perspectives of events, except on the issue of
Why such volatility in Hengyuan (and PetronM)?
in my opinion, cannot be explained accurately, without understanding the roles played by super investor KYY, the stock broking investments funds, local funds n china funds, which must have been here since the beginning.
not possible to boost price from @rm8.50 in nov.2017 to peak of rm19.20 in dec.29, solely driven by retail players margin funds

LOL
CALVINTANENG, the king of finding undervalued “rubbish” stocks, and as a former car sales man, a consummate promoter (this is not a compliment). I still think it is very unethical to promote stocks like he does
totally agree, can get better returns , to just follow the blue chip stks or other hot favourites not in his list.
found that, some forums got tag team (3-6 ids), that recommend the stk typically below 40 cents share, as good buy, have to listen to them for sometime to detect, but not nice to name names , please take note
Stock: [HENGYUAN]: HENGYUAN REFINING COMPANY BERHAD

k non holder provided the bias and reasoning as above. and think further if got ambank and maybank, tomorrow you know what to do then.
risk mgmt of these top banks already factor in possible loss provisions for bad debts one, remember thats their expertise, just a drop in their 100 billion loan portfolio.
