Purebull that is my question too. I guess because there is liquidity in the Glove stocks therefore people are tempted by the apparent idea of buying a glove stock cheaper than its market price.
The 'Apparent' idea !

In October, there are 110 million Structured warrants issued against 20.1 million shares of Top Glove that are expiring. All with Strike price of below RM 2

Primeinvestor, check out the link. It details all the warrants issued with Topglov as underlying share.

The market is no longer only about fundamentals. There is derivative influence on the share prices. My opinion is Derivatives should be banned. It only benefits the issuers. The general investing public hurt in the process.

Purebull, the drop isn't a correction. It's consolidation. The IB's are heavily invested in Call warrants with huge estimated losses. They have no choice but to send the price into a tizzy and also to bring it down crashing to profit from the spread.

Geary, humongainz, and all the people who have their hard earned money in shares of any company : People like hahalolWTF by logic come from the stupid segment called the IB. Formerly known as Smart Money.Just let him be. He'll eventually figure out the futility of shitting in his own backyard

jasonred, liquidity the Warrants that expire in 2020 have already announced adjustments for the Bonus. The others too will have to. It's mandatory. Overall, the IB's have a huge task given their own poor judgement. But I think, they will lose either way.. However, do note that the warrants are Non Collatereralized. Meaning there is no Collateral security in case of a default. For an IB Isee that as the best option. In which case the warrant holders will lose. Zero sum game for Warrant players.
The easy way forward would have been to keep it quiet and earn some on spikes post the results. Then buy more on the dips. But IB guys are Smart Money right? They don't do simple things. They must announce to the world that a company earning a Billion is worth peanuts ???

hahalolWTF .... finally you make sense. Economic forces will balance everything. :)

Jasonred, there's no need to pull your hair over this. The IB's made a Bad Judgement call. They have to desperately try and make up the shortfall. It's not small money as you can see. But there's a catch in this 'Throwing the stone and trying to catch it before it hits the glass' game. Will they able to ? Sortsell ? Price must go down enough to cover the buyback. Accumulate ? Must have enough shares on hand to to make the shortfall. My sense is, either way they will exhaust themselves.

Jasonred, those are Producer prices. And the last update was a month ago. OBM prices should be atleast 30%

Jasonred. Apologies for using a strong word. Should have been milder :)

The trend is as and when buyers run short they offer higher prices for quick delivery schedules. Any assumption that we can figure the spot prices for 1 year down the line is ridiculous. Both ways, up or down.

RM 140/1000 pcs and rising

Jasonred, I can reasonably say that your information not true. I have family members producing gloves in parts of the world. I do know first hand they cannot even sell to their regular customers. Even the so called spot prices are largely from the regular buyers whio offer higher prices for faster delivery.
So you see, the demand is intact. The profits for the next year and the following year are solid. Not assumptions. All the analysts too agree on that count.
The WARRANTS. That should explain the Exagerated low TP's.
For the un-initiated. Please feel sure of the glove story. If you can afford it BUY. Because that'll exhaust the IB's. They will in anycase run out of steam buying and selling among themselves. I think they already have.
For whatever it is worth, we will keep buying. Cheers !

Jason you hit the nail on the head. The catch is:
Is losing 400 million on payout better than losing 1 Billion on shorting?
It finally boils down to the numbers. So, given that the funda is all strong with the glove companies, the best way forward is for everyone who can afford to keep buying at these levels.
The IB's will feed as long as they can. What happens when they exhaust their spend?

Guys, the IB's will exhaust their resources at some point. The question then is, ' Are you all prepared to buy when that happens'? Because someone has to buy up to lift the prices.

Geary, I think you got the concept of PE wrong. Price to Earnings is a Price multiple of the earnings of a company that an investor is willing to pay for 'Forward Earnings".
So, like you said if the forecast EPS is RM 0.73 and your fair estimation is a PE multiple of 30. What should the price be ?
Thats your own calculation. Not mine. That should look more like target price RM21.90 NOW. NOT 3 months from now.

All Analysts, across the board, have next year estimation of Net Profits @ over RM 6 Billion.
That is ~ 300% over FY2020 earnings. Why then is the share trading at Forward PE FY2021 of 31-35?
If the people responsible can please answer the question, I & my team will be grateful. We intend to buy in, no matter what.
