Gark, you are right. I used to ask the management this question when I visited them that the current share price has not reflected the fundmamental of the company. The management replied that it depends whether the investors are punters or investors. The management is not too concerned with the share price rather the business model and the ability to generate consistent growth for the shareholders and at the end of the day the believe the earnings will reflect in the share price.

KFima 2nd quarter results:-
Kfima has recorded Profit After tax of RM19.03 million vs RM16.938 million same quarter last year.(15% increase q vs Q )
EPS stood at 7.16 sen for this quarter and Total EPS for 1st 6 month stood at RM14.96 if annualise 29.92 sen.
2012-11-28 18:31 | Report Abuse
My only concern is that they might park some ESOS expenses to make the profit lower. Otherwise operating profit should see Q to Q(compare this quarter with last year and also last quarter this year)increase.
Fima Corp this quarter result has told all since it is Kfima's subsidiary. Both Manufacturing and Plantation has chalked up good profit.
2012-11-28 18:16 | Report Abuse
My prediction for Kfima result tomorrow:-
Profit Before Tax this quarter:
(1) Manufacturing RM16.09 million
(2) Plantation RM8.7 million
(3) Bulking RM8 million
(4) Foods 4 million
Total Profit Before Tax for this quarter before MI should be around RM37.6 million or net profit after tax around RM22 million.
For this quarter, my take is that they can achieve EPS 7.8 sen or 31.2 sen per share per year which is better than 6.8 sen per share same quarter last year. The prediction has not taken into account of ESOS expenses.
(1) & (2) contributed by Fima Corp EPS 21.98 sen per share per quarter annualise 88 sen. Fima corp just annoumced the result tonite and surprisingly the planatation sector has recorded 12% increase in Profit before tax if compare last year same quarter.

When Malay has given up on UMNO, our big sister talks nonsense again...
Shahizat: Kuasa Melayu 'bagai telur di hujung tanduk'
11:22AM Nov 28 2012

It’s the system that turns good leaders bad
Mohd Ariff Sabri Aziz | November 28, 2012
Free Malaysia Today
Malaysians think that by changing the present set of bad people with good ones everything will be all right, but nothing is farther from the truth.
COMMENT
People do not want to believe that if you have an intrinsically bad system, you are good at the beginning, but you are eventually going to degenerate.
But people don’t want to accept this.
Let’s assume Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is a good person (he probably is) but the system which sustains him is bad. It will eventually cause him to turn bad.
So it isn’t enough to transform society by changing the people leading it, but the system that structures our society must be changed too.
That is our (Pakatan Rakyat’s ) agenda now. Not just changing of guards, but changing the system that structures our society.
Just as a free market requires a libertarian system or liberal democracy, so do good people at the top who can stay good but only if we have a good system of government.
The leader who respects the opinions of the people he leads stays a good leader but only if the system sustains him so.
But Najib can’t stay a good leader because Umno structures the world around us in a bad way.
Najib’s New Economic Model (NEM) in reality is just an extension of former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s way of renouncing the NEP and choosing to jump-start Malay economics by picking and choosing winners.
He, at that point, chose mostly devils he knew and enriched them.
Najib is now continuing to do the same by his market-driven affirmative action that forms his NEM.
Dangerous thinking
Author Fredrik Hayek makes an interesting point in his book, “The Road to Serfdom”. He explains why the worst get to the top.
If we interpret his observation against modern terms, it is that people are willing to suspend reality in exchange for a sanitised world.
Hayek opines that it is dangerous to think that “good men can overcome a bad system”. It is simply wrong thinking.
Malaysia unfortunately appears to be in that situation.
We adjust ourselves and accommodate totalitarian tendencies believing that such a system or political arrangement is not at fault.
We think that by changing the present set of bad people with good and decent people, everything is all right.
But nothing is farther from the truth.
The agenda the opposition seeks is not only changing the bad people on top, but reforming the structure of this country.
If we don’t put the correct structure in place, even when good men lead, they will soon be overwhelmed by the system.

3.1.3 Basis of arriving at the Indicative BSV Disposal Consideration
The Indicative BSV Disposal Consideration of RM212,504,000 was arrived at on a willing buyer-willing seller basis based on the adjusted unaudited NA as at 31 August 2012 of BSV after taking into consideration the market value of the BSV Lands of RM315,216,924 as appraised by WTW.
The market value of the BSV Lands was derived using the ‘Investment (Discounted Cash Flow) Method’ of valuation via WTW’s Valuation Certificate, based on the material date of valuation of 30 August 2012 (“Valuation Certificate”).
Earnings and earnings per share
The realised gains arising from the Proposed Disposals will depend on the respective NA of BSV and MWM at the time of completion of the Proposed Disposals.
Based on the Indicative Disposal Considerations, the Weida Group is expected to realise a net gain on disposal of approximately RM121.15 million(1) based on the latest audited financial statements of the Weida Group for the FYE 31 March 2012, assuming that the Proposed Disposals had been effected in the FYE 31 March 2012. The net gain represents a net income per share of approximately RM0.95 per Weida ordinary share of RM0.50 each.
Strictly for illustrative purposes only, the Weida Group is also expected to enjoy interest savings of approximately RM4.38 million per annum after repayment of bank borrowings from the Proposed Disposals proceeds as well as interest savings from the de-consolidation of the bank borrowings of BSV as detailed in Note (1) of Section 5 of this announcement.
Upon completion of the Proposed Disposals, BSV and MWM will cease to contribute to the future earnings of the Weida Group. Nonetheless, BSV and MWM have been incurring operating losses since BSV and MWM became the subsidiaries of Weida. Although BSV and MWM recorded profits after taxation for the FYE 31 March 2012, the aggregate contribution of BSV and MWM to the Weida Group’s net profit based on its latest audited financial statements for the FYE 31 March 2012 were insignificant.

What if Weida managed to sell the plantation at RM20,500 per hektar just like what the news mentioned in the Business Times today as Weida also has 6,500 oil plam hektar estate in Bintulu?
TH Plantations plans Sarawak acquisitions
By Ooi Tee Ching Published: 2012/10/25
RM200m DEAL: 6,500ha oil palm estate and quarry in Bintulu
TH PLANTATIONS Bhd is set to buy 6,500ha of oil palm estate and a quarry in Sarawak for more than RM200 million.
"It's a brownfield block in Bintulu, away from native customary land. The oil palms are young, between two and five years old," a source said.
"It's going for RM20,500 per hectare. It is at a slight premium because this Bintulu estate includes a quarry mine, separately priced at around RM70 million. It has income-generating rock reserves of up to 30 years," the source told Business Times.
"Currently, TH Plantations landbank is about 45,000ha. If you count the 46,000ha block of estates to be transferred from parent company Lembaga Tabung Haji and this Bintulu estate, it will come up to around 100,000ha," the source said.
Five months ago, TH Plantations told the stock exchange that itwanted to buy 45,738ha of agricul-ture landbank from its parent company Lembaga Tabung Haji for RM536 million.
The acquisition is to be satisfied via the issuance of 209.23 million new THP shares at an issue price of RM2.56 per share. If the deal goes through, TH Plantations' agriculture landbank would double from the current 44,933ha to 90,671ha.
The deal to double TH Plantations' landbank hit a snag last week when Sabah Forestry Department rejected the execution of the teak and rubber plantation development agreement with TH-Bonggaya.

David Raja, there are always investors and punters. Investors look at value, punters look at price. There are no right or wrong. For punters RM1.00 is expensive but RM 0.20 is cheap and vice versa for Investors.
You are right that one should do their homework because no one owed us a living but we ourselves. Win or lose one should take their own resposibility.
Regarding Kfima, I am not aiming for few cents profit because I see the potiental of this stock which is dirt cheap at this level. You can see the performance of the stocks that I posted here before like WEIDA, ZHULIAN, PERISAI.

Very Good news for KFIMA indeed.
Bulking business which contributed 20% PBT will be benefited from the discontinue of a tax free shipment quota as this will encourage the rise in handling and storage of edible oil and oleo chemical products.
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 4 (Reuters) - Malaysia will cut crude palm oil (CPO) export taxes and discontinue a tax free shipment quota for the grade from Jan 1 2013, a government minister said on Friday, as the world's No.2 producer seeks to snatch back market share from top producer Indonesia.
"The implementation of reduced export duty on CPO will also allow the refineries in Malaysia to market their products at competitive prices to the global markets," Commodities Minister Benard Dompok said in a statement.
"In tandem with reduced CPO export duty, the government will discontinue with the duty free CPO export facility beginning 1 January 2013," he said after Malaysia's cabinet met earlier in the day to discuss measures to support the palm oil sector.
Dompok did not disclose the quantum of the cut in crude palm oil export taxes from the current 23 percent duty. (Reporting by Niluksi Koswanage; Editing by Yantoultra Ngui)

Why Weida, Perisai and Zhulian is doing very well? because Perisai and Zhulian are mostly in the hands of the institutional investors that are going long on the stock.
Should we all avoid plantation counters? Yes for short term. For long term you cannot avoid plantation counters because palm oil is a necessities. Bear in mind that cost per tonne for the listed plantation company is RM1,400 per tonne while CPO price is trading at RM2,400. So given another 30% drop in CPO price from the current price the company is still making good money.

Firstly, I am definetly not from BIMB. Am I not qualified to come from CIMB or Maybank just because judging that Najib is a Malay so that he must be from some Islamic bank? Anyway, good guess KC. But dun bring in racial slurr here. You know why, I am a GHOST BUSTER.
Fandi, I am not GOD and some of my prediction may gone wrong. Anyway, if you are holding on fundamental stocks the have faith on the stock and never ever swayed by the noise. HAVE BETTER EQ.
For those KFima, I am not an insider and definetly bukan Hantu as claimed by a master here.
Just ask yourself is KFIMA fully valued when the company is holding cash per share of RM1.00, P/E 7, EPS 31.20 and the company still record EPS for 1st quarter of 7.80(annualise 31.20) when the CPO price is at the bottom for last quarter? With QE 3 now, do you think CPO price will stand at current level?
Why worry about Election and compare with 2008 when the market was bearish during that time as opposed to bullish sentiment.
Our big TAIKOR NAJIB RAZAK will come out with more measures to stimulate the economy. Dun tell me you do not know why.
