I'm not sure about the legality of it, but an NDA can only be signed by an individual, not a country. And any national secret can only be called a national secret only if its classified under the secrets act, so the NDA is useless, unless its only the shut KJ up

The market already priced in the potential of a Fed rate hike, this is how the saying "buy the rumour, sell the news" came about. If the Feds hike, nothing happens; if the Feds don't hike, its a surprise, and the market rushes to compensate.

@paktua, both CapA and AAX already hit their immediate TP/resistance today, will start to retrace soon. And the retracement will be huge this time before it continue its upward trajectory

Oppstar has nothing to do with CapA, this mf (mother f*cker?) thinks promoting his stock in i3 can help push it higher. Naive at best, foolish at worst. That stock will crash after this hype, its main revenue contributor is from KirinCore chips, yes the ones used by Huawei, and now banned from manufacturing due to US sanctions.
2023-03-15 09:59 | Report Abuse
I've read the prospectus and think its a good company but I also think they listed at the wrong time. After today this stock will likely crash first before rising again in the very long term.
Its main revenue contributor is the KirinCore, used by Huawei, which is now banned from production due to US Sanctions and Huawei as a whole also sanctioned by various governments.

Technical wise, it looks like Pharma will move in a sideways triangle for a very long time.
2023-02-28 17:23 | Report Abuse
Pharma's problems are, 1) RM600mil worth of Covid vaccines expiring soon, 2) their short term debt stands at almost RM1bil.
Dpharma doesn't have both those problems.

As inflation grows, dollar store type businesses (MRDIY) will flourish. Its something I have witnessed in UK during 2008 financial crisis, the Poundland stores (1pound store) were packed day in day out.

Coming back to my point about immediate term effects of taking over an ice cream business, what FFB would probably be able to do is add to their consolidated accounts to show higher revenue and profits, since Inside Scoop already has a steady stream of revenue and profit. And adding to that, FFB has the raw materials to supply InScoop thus lowering the cost of business and increasing profit margin. Time will tell.

Nothing fishy la, its normal for investors and traders to take profit after such a big run. It also means you get a chance to buy or add more.

2023-02-16 12:31 | Report Abuse
Kind of strange that they would use the proceeds of the IPO for this ice cream business and their Jom Cha franchise, rather than the planned Australian production expansion. Although it might be more profitable in the long term, but in the immediate term, consumer spending is about to take a hit as interest rates continue to hike. Seriously need to think about whether worth holding onto FFB after this.

The immediate threat now though is that travelers are willing to pay a very high premium to fly, so airlines are trying to milk as much as they can from this "revenge flyers". Most of the flyers now paying for the high premium are those that are flying to see families that they missed during lockdown. It is similar to what happened after 9/11, when people were afraid of flying and airlines had to reduce certain routes, but the first flyers were those that desperately needed to visit families and were willing to pay the premium. Lets hope more people start flying again so airlines will have to open more routes and increase frequencies of flights, forcing them to lease planes from AA
2023-02-16 11:08 | Report Abuse
Its true that AA made money from leasing aircraft, that is why they placed orders for airbus many years in advance to use up Airbus' manufacturing capacity, preventing other competitors from buying their own planes anytime in the short term thus forcing them to lease aircrafts from the likes of AA.

Its a good opportunity to buy now, it will have to cover gap sooner or later. From now at 0.625 to cover the gap at 0.925, that's at least a 50% Return on Investment. And if the shorts keep shorting they might get caught with their pants down and have to close their position at a much higher price thus helping push the price further up.

Looking at charts for all banks, most of them are looking like they will have a correction soon. Its your money, you do some more research and decide.

BIMB's gross impaired financing (GIF), meaning the average % of customers that are unable to pay their loans, is very very high, from end of 2021 to end of 2022, that percentage jumped up to 32%, compared to other banks only with only 12%. Meaning 1/3 of their customers unable to pay their loans. So if recession come, BIMB is a gone case already. The only reason i see people continuing to support this counter is because the bank's name is related to one's religion.

The only saving grace for Mr.DIY now is to pray that a global recession hits and hits very hard that people's buying power are reduced so significantly that can only afford to shop Mr.DiY style dollar shops.

Honestly i don't understand why malaysian retail traders keep falling for the same ipo tricks. the underwriters have such an easy time taking your money. next time, read the blardy prospectus, read the whole damn book no matter blardy thick it is, and then go find out what they intend to do with you money and whether it is logical or not, don't even need to be insider, just use some simple logic. Don't just buy because its I-P-O.
Disclosure : i didn't buy Oppstar because in their prospectus they are already honestly stated the glaring problem with their business going forward - the blardy kirin core chip
