There are not many opportunities like this nowadays. As usual, there's no such thing called guaranteed investment. Make the most of it as long as one do not sell his kidney to invest.

@ Lee_CK, China National Pharmaceutical Group is Sinopharm. Distributed by Kanger.

MadCow, if I may add, the way I see things and with investment incentives eg pioneer status or whatever, you bet many counters will announce they are into this business as well. But it is the pioneer counters like Kanger will skim the market first. Right now, I do not see any other competitors coming close unless someone suddenly announce they teamed up with Sinovac or Astra Zennecca.
We are here to make most out of the stock market. We see the potential and therefore we invest. We hold as long as possible, make money and exit. We do not fall in love with the counters. And this love affair will peak at most 1 year.

MadCow, I agree with you. Companies like Bintai or HWGB they are into vaccine business but nowhere near completion. Then you have Solution until now did not see distribution network as they are engineering solutions biz. But they are good in press releases. :)

Definitely many suppliers. Impossible to have just 1 supplier, volume too big, risk too high.

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 6 — The government has decreased next year’s budgets for curative care and public health, including deep cuts for cancer and kidney disease treatments, even as Malaysia is facing the greatest public health crisis in history with Covid-19.
Despite a slight 4 per cent increase of the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) allocation from last year to RM31.9 billion in Budget 2021, MOH reduced its medical budget by 20.5 per cent from RM14.2 billion in 2020 to RM11.3 billion in 2021, making wide-ranging cuts across almost all health care services, including a massive 74 per cent decrease for pharmacy and supplies, according to the Estimated Federal Expenditure 2021 document. Pharmacy and supplies refer to drugs and other non-pharmaceutical items like personal protective equipment, IV drips, and syringes, among others.

How come everyone say Pharmaniaga and DuoPharma are officially Covid19 distributors?
====================================================================
KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 — Minister Khairy Jamaluddin clarified in Parliament today that the government has not selected local pharmaceutical companies — Pharmaniaga Bhd and Duopharma Biotech Bhd — to undertake fill-finish processing for any Covid-19 vaccine.
The minister of science, technology and innovation told the Dewan Rakyat that the two government-linked companies were simply identified as pharmaceutical corporations with the capacity to conduct fill-finish processing, which is a process where the active agent of the pharmaceutical product is formulated or mixed into its final form (like liquid or powder), and filling and sealing it within final containers (like prefilled syringes).

Manufacturer need to certify refilling facilities meet their standard before they let you refill...it is not as simple as people think. That too only if manufacturer cannot cope up and no one wants to transfer their technology to others.

Pharmaniaga can fill but does manufacturer want to supply in bulk?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pharmaniaga is one of few companies identified by the government recently to use their
existing facilities for bottling the vaccine when it becomes available.
Mohamed Iqbal, however, noted that although Malaysia has the capacity to do the fill and
finish process, it also depends on how much vaccine can be supplied by the
manufacturer.
“That’s the challenge, because countries worldwide are placing in their orders for large
populations. On our part, we are ready and we have been doing testing so that when the
vaccine is ready, we should be able to do the fill and finish process almost immediately,”
he told a media briefing today.

Repackaging is not a simple process. It need sterile environment, absolute clean room standard, no chances of contamination, super strict quality control, specialised automated equipment, labelling, logistics support and temperature controlled packaging. And not to forget the qualified people.
But after you got all these in place, you need accreditation from regulators, certifications, etc. That will take a long time.

He also said tax exemption would be given for the vaccination cost for personal, spouse and children with a limit up to RM1,000.
