If you understood him the way I did, you would have bought this morning before the 5% run up. This guy means what he says....

@babi Technically he is not wrong. If you go to court with the evidence it will be hard to implicate him. It's like saying your wife stole money and you have to go prison?

I will give him the benefit of doubt here. I think what he's trying to say is a lot more people were buying them and to emphasize his point, he pointed out he himself didn't buy any....without realizing many will regard his wife's purchase as his own.

@zoo... private placements? I have done many such deals. No motivation for owners to create more shares to dilute themselves if they don't need funds. Your argument is puzzling....*scratch head*

@zoo... a transaction is only possible when a buyer meets a seller. But that's not a zero sum game. I think you are trying to say that eventually someone will pay for it by holding the baby riding down. Right?

Now...look at the other side of the coin. You are too preoccupied about the failure of Jaks to ever mk money. If VN project starts and profits are flowing....company will grow. How can this be considered zero sum game? *puzzling*

For the benefit of many... do be aware that the CEO....MR ANG LAM POAH...acquired almost 11million shares from the open market in 2017, bringing his total share holdings to 10%.

Now this is a strong mark of confidence in the company alongside KYY.

@zoo KYY is betting big that Jaks will be a very profitable entity soon. And when such time arrives, this stock will be in the radar of funds.....then the "real" move up begins. Many funds don't have the mandate to buy into unprofitable biz. This is just the beginning.....

@zoo Time and again it has been proven the world over...retail power is unsustainable. Smart money meaning the bigger boys...always take small guys for a ride at the end. In this case....if KYY is trying to take advantage of the small guys then he is doing this a very very weird way.

@CharlesT KYY is a human too. Even Li Ka Shing has made mistakes. We all do. And we are not proud of them. Most importantly, do more rights than wrongs....otherwise will be hard to stand back up :)

@zoo You truly think the small guys like you can have the ability to swallow his 150m shares?
As soon as he files a SELL on Jaks....everyone will already run away.
When he builds his holdings to this level....it means he knows he may have to hold it for a long time.
Not so easy to hit and run. Cos as a substantial holder, he has to file his every buy and sell.

As to your question....simple answer. He is convinced Jaks will make a lot of money in the future. So he's all into it now, waiting to reap the rewards. And when it does....today's price will seem so cheap.

I say many have rode with him initially but when Jaks corrected, many also bailed out....typical short term punting mentality. Now prices are moving higher and higher. Always hard to buy back higher. So resort to talking it down....LOL...sorry guys! This is a futile endeavour. Fundamentals will rule end of the day.

End of day someone his age...his stature...would like to leave a mark...a legacy.
Who wants to be remembered as the bad guy? Wake up people!

Honestly if am KYY I won't even bother to promote so hard on JAKS. What's the benefit?
Small guys don't have the power to move stocks and are weak holders generally.
As the saying goes...when small guys are in it, usually marks a market top.
Instead I will slowly accumulate.....no need to publicize.
But I guess KYY being who is he is genuine about helping people make money.

Honestly bonus issue adds no value to the company. Just creating more shares. The value and biz of company remains the same.

So far KYY is able to articulate why he thinks Jaks will go higher for a long time to come... he's not putting a gun in your head to force you to buy. Consume his advice at your own risk.

However the naysayers, apart from knowing only how to say SELL SELL DUMP DUMP, are unable to explain why they think so....

One logical explanation is...these people have missed the boat....so they wanna instill fear to buy cheaper. Sorry guys...doesn't work this way :)

There's a lot of optimism factored into the stock price now. Hence it's finding difficulty climbing higher. Market will wait for actual result to decide if the optimism is justified.

2Q semicon still registered a good growth. Tho slightly slower than 1Q.
3Q is still looking positive but growth is expected to slow down.
Don't get too enthusiastic is all I can say.....

Careful! Stocks going to correct downwards this second half....

Classic case of buy on rumour and sell on fact. But positive earning momentum will carry on. Semicon industry still doing well and forward outlook is still good. Be patient and take this opportunity to average down/buy more.

You guys are funny! No stock goes up in a straight line. There are surely intermittent periods of corrections. JAKS is for the long term if you believe in their story. Not a short term trading stock. For that you may want to check out IWC :)

The big volatility is over for now..... it will drift lower from here until the next news is out....ie July when result of the tender will be known. Good luck to the longs!
