Mr Pavilion, are you trying to say Actis just a dumb institution for them to accept the stake frm previous holders? Maybe you should do some research on actis and their investment portfolios, what are their track record, investment styles, entry/exit strategies and so on.

1. Will Alipay going to contribute significantly to Ghl?
2. Long term threat for Ghl...is Alipay itself...e-commerce...change in customer behaviour.

Ghl only strong on Edc machine but weak on online payment and micro retailers. These 2 segment are the growth area.

I think Simon and Brahmal can foresee the future that why they disposed it to Actis.

Give example let say you earn RM3000 a mth (cause you sound like lembab) and you spend RM1,000 on card for tesco, gas, etc...and you having 2 cards...executive Mastercard and Visa card and now they offer you one more card...Alipay card. Would you now spend RM1500?....don't think so right? So still spend RM1,000 unless you ask for trouble.

The pie are the same...now it divided with additional player...as far as Ghl concern...it is the same....whatever card...they get the same %fees....similar case for Chinese tourists. ...I bet they always has Master/Visa with them.....so now with Alipay...they maybe want to pay with Alipay (but now Bank are working on giving payer option to pay in their own currency)....so for Ghl it is the same fee they getting....no matter what card they swipe.

Only different...if our Nazri can bring more Chinese tourist to spend here.

As for online payment....the battle is to secure popular Market places..sites...Rakuten, 101Street, Lazada, Zalora, Amazon, Ebay etc and Social Media....FB, Instangram etc....without this Ghl is just a stand alone payment enabler without business...maybe can trylah local Mudah.com...because all international sites and media already has their own arrangements....Alibaba are using HelloPay not Ghl for SEA.

I can guarantee. ...local market places can't compete with International sites...for their choices, price, reliability and brand.....more Malaysian will buy from overseas...contribute to.....weakening Ringgit. If Shopping Malls start worry.....then perhaps Ghl has to worry too....because Ghl very much depend on Shopping Malls.

Just because of bulls market...doesn't mean it will lift all shares....better select good stock which can withstand up and down...market.. .Avoid one.... which has gone up by 200-300% within a mth.

By just setting up e-payment does not guarantee success. ..infact Netx just jump to bandwagon on this business. Very important for compay to secure market places and social media.....otherwise they will be no traffic to process the payment.

All prominent sites like Lazada, Zalora, Amazon etc are using their in house systems. E.g. HelloPay for all Alibaba sites.

Facebook, Instangram are developing their own system. ...soon user could pay without leaving pages.....see they all building their eco system....to keep their clients/user depending on their systems...a.k. like Apple.

Regarding E-Money......I know Authority (Malaysia, Thailand, Combodia, etc) very strict on giving licence to Non banking, third party co. ....they will not trusted them with receiving, storing, controlling public money etc. So far nobody successful in this product. ......beside each bank are issuing their own e-money using master/visa....I would be more comfortable with bank and if convenient. ..I would be better off with Samsung or Apple Pay.

Why don't you get it, Alipay or whatever pay are just like Master, Visa. If you do payment processing. ...it doesn't matter how customer pay.

Mostly customer/tourist has several card, if now they pay thru Master and later they might want to pay thru Alipay....it doesn't make any different to Payment Processing co..like GHL, Ipay88, Netx (try to be).

What important is the traffic, how they going to get customer/traffic? Zalora, Lazada all famous market place are using their own payment systems i.e. for Alibaba group they using HelloPay for South East Asia.

Facebook, Instangram, etc are developing their own payment systems....soon customer don't have to leave the page to make payment. Amazon coming to Singapore again to give hardtime for standalone payment processing co like Ghl and other co...like..try to be Netx. Because this big co control the whole process from A to Z including payment. Online customer want to buy from reputable co with lots of choices....local market place can't compete with them in term of choices, price, efficiency and brand.

So if they can't capture market places or social media..they can't get traffic. ..if they can't get traffic. ...they can't process payment....then no fee for them.....no money to show to shareholder.

If I want to push, I will ask my Gang A to buy @5sen and hold for say 3wks with the promise of buying back @7sen. Then I will ask Gang B to buy @7sen for 2wks and promise to take back @8sen and I will continue to do many deals like that with Gang C, D, E......ensure my price are supported at each levels...until I achieve my objectives.

Before that I already collected low at 4sen plus borrowed shares from existing shareholder....so all my gang collect and push the price and poor retailer after some time ....can't hold their heart beat ....tak boleh tahan...going in buta buta and buy 10-11sen.

I created strong buying signal.... I q few thousands at every level below....forcing buyer to take my price.....after all my distribution done....nobody will support the price.....Then I will honour my deals with my Gang/Kaki and buy back at promised price....can be thru DBT....no cost....and return back some shares to owner (borrowed).........can or not like that?....if the business really good then price will not drop at where it start....maybe 6sen.
