I often wonder if TA is an art or science. I never seems to understand what TA is all about. If you follow TA , you could be losing your pants going in and cut loss on YTLP recently. There are support and resistance levels ; when they are broken it could be good/ bad, depending on your trade position. Nice.

On 10.12.2024, a friend forwarded me a TA reading of YTLP rating it as a trading sell with a TP at RM1.00. The chart is from a reputable investment house.
It stated that in spite of the current rebound the share price is retracing from its 10-month weighted moving average resistance. Its monthly MACD has completed a bearish cross over. Its month DMI is converging bearish. Therefore YTLP is rated a trading sell with TP RM1.00. [ WOW, I love to be able to buy at RM1.50 }.

Then you also have other TA sifu who stated that the golden cross was formed. The share price is higher than 20 Week EMA . MACD had a buy signal on 9.12.2024 and the worst is over. etsc etc. This guy is bullish.
So which chartist do you believe?

I go with Dragon328 & OTB FA figures, otherwise all the buy/sell signal is driving me nuts. At the end of the day, I noticed stock prices always track the fundamentals.

Expiry date of WD is 2029-05-07. It is trading almost at zero premium. Zero value is assigned to time value of the warrant which is 4.5 years. Very cheap. no??

I understand you are super bullish on YTLP from the FA angle. However based on TA one would have bought and cut loss many times on this stock.
From your posting here, I gather you are still holding on to this gem. Correct me if my observation is wrong that you keep adding position when YTLP drop?? When do you decide to ditch your TA comes first before FA rule ? Is the criteria based on a particular stock which is exceptional ?
Is YTLP not considered a down trending stock for now?
I have been adding position lately for a longer term view. hopefully this works.

Be patient, the management are genuine business people I gather. HLB and Normura has done a detailed research, so I believe this stock will come back.

Dragon 328 is doing a great job here. He recommended you to buy at 70 sen but you did not do so. He is still positive about YTLP from the fundamental prospective which I agree.
OTB also like YTLP but he is also more conscious of the TA aspect. Nothing wrong with that. For now if the price is below 200 day SMA he would not touch. Am I right OTB ?

Stock Fundamental always prevail. A friend of mine upon advised from his TA sifu sold all his holdings in YTLP today as the cut loss price has been triggered. Pity him. As the saying goes, just stick to fundamental, charts can be very very misleading !

YTLp is like wounded tiger. If you have sold because it triggered your cut loss level, you may get it back at lower prices. If you decide to hold it will become a true tiger

To be honest, I have benefited from their posts. I may not agree with some of the counters OTB posted but did he lie? NO. That is his opinion based on info he had, and one needs to think further before you follow.

@dragon328, Am I right to say that chartwise, the counter is now pretty bearish if not shitty. The counter is expected to trend lower/ side way in the short term before it gets better?? yes, the fundamental is still intact. Perhaps if one takes a 2-3 year time horizon, like you said, will see your return double or more.

My simple calculation of YTLP fair value is to assigned a PE of 15 to the est EPS of 40sen for the FY June 2024. That give me a fair value of RM6. For FY 2025 and 2026 , you will have income from DC as well. The income may not be able to assess with certainty but it will be surprise on the upside and possible hugh.
I would go along with dragon328 analysis that the upside is still hugh. YTLP at RM5 now is by no means overvalued.

Every stock has its day. Insas could be next.

I was thinking of taking profit after the qtr results is out, but now you have a research house calling RM7.30 even without waiting for the qtr result. Perhaps I should hang on.

Yinson is like a company making hugh profit but has no money. sad.

When most of the counters in Bursa are bullish now, you have the funny feeling that Yinson is going to be listless for the rest of the year. The chart has been shitty for a long time. Wait and wait and wait. Perhaps a few more qtrs of good result might change people's perception.

When a sifu is promoting a stock for 2 years and yet claim only to have a small holding, I find it does not jive. Nothing wrong to say that one has a large holding in yinson and waiting patiently for it to take off.

Perhaps the investors perceived Yinson as a high risk stock even if it is trading at a very low PE. Even its sukuk has to be done at such a hugh premium. Potential investors might want to wait a few more qtr to be sure to put their money in.

Israel will very likely attack Iran in the coming days / weeks. Their armed forces chief vowed so. Do we sell today following a rebound or hold for a while ? Its anyone guess whether it will fall further.
However the moment Israel strike Iran, the market will probably take another hit as well.
Perhaps it make sense to take profit by reducing half my holding and keep the balance for another 6 months.

How to go up when only EPF is doing trading? TA also bad. Opportunities lost with capital park here.
Perhaps better to cut now and come back when the TA improve ??

Why are people so hung up about the daily price movement of YTLP ? Perhaps must be the day traders? If you go for the fundamentals of this gem, come back in 6 - 9 months and you will be smiling from cheek to cheek. no?
