No surprise about this major loss, however I wonder who is sittting in the other end of those hedging contracts. Many oil and gas companies have stopped forward selling long time ago, only the ones with high debt ratio have to.

I am a bit worried about the Q1 results on 26th. Due to forward selling of CPO first quarter may not look so strong. However myself I would not dare to sell my shares in UTDPLT.

Is there a risk that UP in the short term, Q1 and Q2 is getting hammered by margin calls on their forward contracts if they have sold forward to a price half of the current market price? Good to see that directors are now going all in with heavy positions.

UP has almost no debt, so a bit disapointing they pay such a high premium for securing the future sales price. They are not dictated by creditors to lock prices to satisfy them. Many oil companies haVe stopped this practice years ago as they where constantly loosing big money to smart traders. Still I hope UP will break out of the consolidation pattern.

If you look at the ratio, Crude Palm Oil / Share price of UP, you will see that in the period from 2013 to 2021 you could buy approx 180 share in UP for a ton of palm oil. During the last year where the palm oil has surged this ratio has changed so you now can buy 391 shares for one ton of palm oil. if the ratio shall move back to this old level again UP shares shall more than double.

It looks like UP is finally breaking out from this consolidation monster pattern it has been running in for the last 9 years. I wonder who is selling their shares right now. It may launch from the this resistance line it has just broken and go vertical up to around 35. Money is shfting into commodities from tech and the move might go fast when new buyers with tech money identifies this candidate.

The movement we see now in UP may be a start of a new uptrend similar to the one from 2003 to 2013. I hope so. No doubt a lot of investors are shifting from tech, biotech and development into commodities, metals, miners and oil these days. Supply of essentials like energy and food has been overlooked in may years but now it has got new attention.

I just wonder why the insider provident fund is continously dumping UP stocks at the market at these conditions. If portfolio managers around the world still fools around with ESG policies and avoiding good businesses, UP should use all its free cash flow to buy its own shares instead of selling at this moment when there is a chance that the stock could break out of this consolidation phase it has been stucked in since 2013.

Wtf is happening, palm oil is surging several hundred percent and UP jumps 0.53%. It almost looks like there is a controller on the price pouring stocks to the market everytime the price starts to go A bit higher. And why is this Company based Provident Fund flooding the market with shares in huge amounts. Instead of a share buyback program we have got a share sellback but if UP has sold the entire production for years to come at 2000 myr/ton it might be the right share price we are seing now.

Are you going to re-invest your dividends on 18th May in United Plantations or perhaps UIE, or are you going for Oil & Gas producers or uranium miners?
