Hi investortrader88.. could you share how you arrive at the TP for all your portfolio? is it based on the previous high? I bought Dayang when it was at 1.5 few weeks ago.. still in red on paper =(

KUALA LUMPUR (April 6): Creador Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Brahmal Vasudevan has emerged as a substantial shareholder of oil and gas (O&G) firm Uzma Bhd.
The O&G sector is probably one that investors are shying away from, but Brahmal, who is also Creador’s founder, has been mopping up shares in Uzma, whose share price has plummeted 36% year to date amid the meltdown on crude oil prices.
I think there must be rationale behind the PE firm buying into O&G stocks.. just like Mabel =)

I noticed that the oil price has been dropping since Jan to Feb but Dayang share price was still on uptrend during Jan to Feb..does that mean Dayang share price is less affected by the oil price? or due to Dayang good fundamental?
I read Hong Leong Research Report on O&G Sector published on 13 Apr:
- they are keeping oil price assumption of USD47/ bbl for 2020 on the premise of some recovery in demand in 2H20 against the backdrop of the announcedproduction cuts;
- maintain neutral view on the sector.
Any experienced investor can share your view?

"On Q1 2020, most of the top shareholder acquired more Dayang share indicate that the company is still valuable in the future with the founder, Ling Suk Kiong, CIMB Group Holding berhad and Ling Siew Luong were the ones who increasing its position in Dayang"
Hi Mabel, could you share how we will be able to see CIMB is increasing position in Dayang? As I can only find changes in director interest from Bursa announcement..

Hi Bojed.. will it be risky for Dayang since it seems to be reliant on Petronas contract?

@Baby shark.. TP so high? even higher than all the valuation by IB shared by Mabel .. you have any insider news ? hehe
2020-04-16 10:20 | Report Abuse
@Bojed, was it because the company delisted/go into bankruptcy which result in losing 100% of investment? Can share more so that new investor can learn how to minimise losses in future..
@Mabel, could you share how do we find the TP valuation report by IB? is there any link that published all the valuation report by IB for different counters?
Thanks paktua for this "you all see many successful investors or traders..
their never influence by any wave..
their stick with own methods..
disciplined and focus on own goal.."
May i ask.. are all the Dayang supporters here because of own study of Dayang FA and believe it is a good counter to invest in and not because of promotion by anyone right?

Hi Mabel, where do we see the TP for Dayang now?
I refer to probability previous comment on Dayang:
"With articles and articles of promotion, the share price of Dayang was chased up to RM3.00 per share in just a couple of months ago. Those who held Dayang were told to continue buying, and with margin, as its profit growth seems to have no limit, and they were told that they are stupid fools for selling this up-trending stock. One who have done some valuation would have sensed that the normalized earnings does not justify the rich valuation, and there is no margin of safety holding the stock at this price, and profit should have taken."
As investor, how do we perform valuation on our investment to find where the TP is? or we usually refer to investment bank report?

Thanks Mabel, Paktua, Mkme & bojed for the valuable advice! Appreciate it!
Still learning how to digest what bojed said cos it is exactly the same as what my other experienced investor friends telling me.. they always say if you looking at the price everyday .. you are trading shares and not investing.. and when price up.. happy.. price down, sad.. like emotion being affected by the up and down in shares.. so torturing..
This time market down serves as a good lesson to learn..
"Tomorrow will be a new adventure. Up or down, don't fret too much. Take it easy. Many people lead miserable lives due to worrying too much for things they don't have any control over. It will cost your health dearly. Who wants to be a bed-ridden millionaire? I don't.
It's okay to feel sad once in a while, we're humans afterall, but don't turn it into the theme of your life."

Hi Mkme.. the money invested is excess cash ..so i have no urgent need to sell..just that fighting with the mental stress looking at the unrealised loss getting bigger and bigger since all these pandemic, oil price and political uncertainty started..
As a newbie to investment (just started last year Oct).. some of my experienced friend told me not to be panic when market is down.. so i keep reminding and need guidance from other experienced investors ..

So many different news on oil price.. sometimes said oil price slump.. sometimes oil price boost.. so confusing..
Should we just ignore all the market news and not to overact on it.. can some experienced investor here shed some light.. thanks!

@mkme75.. do you hold Dayang as well? it is easier to realise profit if one entered at low price.. but for those who entered above 2 might be worrying if it can climb up to 3 again before all the pandemic and oil price plunge started =(
Anyway thanks for your advice and i will continue to hold Dayang..

@Mabel, may i ask why you will hope for the price to drop to 60/70 cents to collect? what if it drop and never bounce back?
Shouldnt we hope for the price to rise so that we can take profit?

@Mabel.. thanks for your reply..
i read your post in Serba that you attended its AGM before and the Director is very much on the ground..
How about Dayang? have you attended the AGM before? How is the management composition and their familiarity with the business?
I think Dayang is mainly reliant on Petronas contract? unlike Serba which is more diversified ..like today's news that it secured project in Abu Dhabi.. does that mean it is riskier for Dayang?
Hopefully it does not sound like stupid questions.. thanks Mabel in advance..
and also @paktua.. maybe i am new to the forum.. is paktua trying to convey the message to us to have confidence in Dayang and not affected by the short term volatility now?
My entry price was 2.48 back then.. and when it rebounded from the sharp fall.. i added again at 1.49.. and being new to investment .. i still trying to control from being emotionally affected too much by the fluctuation in share price..

@Mabel, if one is holding Dayang, should he dispose and switch to Serba? what is your advice..
how should we look at Dayang.. understand its business is oil rig maintenance and should not be affected by oil price, but the share price seems to be correlated with the oil price..
Appreciate your thoughts.. as small investors tend to panic sell when they see the price drop.. how we avoid this..

Hi all, i am new to i3 investor.. would like to share the news below:
TOKYO (April 15): Benchmark U.S. crude rose more than 3% in early trade on Wednesday, recovering from a 10% slump the previous session on hopes for purchases by consumer countries for their strategic stockpiles on a scale not before seen.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were up 3.43%, or 69 cents, at $20.80 at 2225 GMT, after having crashed 10.3% on Tuesday on fears that a record global output cut by producers would not offset plunging fuel demand hit by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, along with Russia and other producing countries - a grouping known as OPEC+ - partnered with other oil-pumping powerhouses including the United States for an agreement set to remove a total of around 19.5 million barrels per day (bpd) from the market.
Officials and sources from OPEC+ states indicated the International Energy Agency (IEA), the energy watchdog for the world's most industrialised nations, may announce purchases of up to several million barrels to buoy the deal.
The United States - the world's biggest oil producer but an even bigger consumer - along with Japan and South Korea have said they could buy oil to replenish reserves.
The U.S. Energy Department said on Tuesday it is negotiating with nine energy companies to store about 23 million barrels of domestically produced oil in its SPR, though such purchases would seem far short of what some producer countries appear to hope for.

@Maxprofit, do you mind sharing your trading strategy?
which TA indicator you use, how to set up entry point, when to sell (referring to your earlier "Sell timeline is an Art"), when to confirm it is a genuine golden cross, what are the important Do and Dont's in share trading.
