Near to our target
AirAsia’s share price has surged by 30% after releasing its positive 4Q15
results in end-Feb 2016. It is now at our TP of MYR1.80, and we
downgrade the stock to a HOLD. Should the share price spike further on
this privatisation angle, we recommend investors to take profit and
recycle the booty into other quality airlines such as IndiGo and Cebu Air.

Facts are unconvincing for it to happen this time
AirAsia has called for an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on 15 Dec
2015 just to secure shareholders’ mandate to buy back 10% of its shares,
effectively sending a firm message that it is not for sale. AirAsia has
commenced its first buy back tranche shortly after announcing its 4Q15
results in Feb 2016. This maiden buy back proves that the management is
making good of its ‘not for sale’ declaration. Furthermore, Tune Air has
not accumulated shares in AirAsia for the past 12 months, according to
filings to the Malaysian stock exchange. And if China Everbright has, the
stake will be less than 5% which does not require filing to the exchange.

It's possible before QA completed as you can't convert the warrant. Therefore no one can make the arbitrage profit. At one time , the different between Hibiscus mother and warrant almost 0.90 before the QA completed even though the conversion is 0.50. But once QA completed, the gap will be narrow down to at par.

Sklyte.... Appreciate your input. I am the investor for Hibiscus as well. No doubt they hv good assets. The problem with Hibiscus now are
1. Cash flow problem.....the only cash they hv now is the money from conversion of warrant which they hv stated that they want to use it for the next Oman exploration. They seems not be able the raise the further fund from CRPS 2 where the minimum price is RM 1.80. After the expiry of CRPS 2, they hv to lower the minimum price of CRPS...
2. The partners Rex and 3d oil hv much lower valuation from Hibiscus. Furthermore , after conversion of warrant, the share base will double....therefore appear to be much more expensive compare Rex and 3d oil. 3 d oil is only Aud 0.075....therefore, fr an investor point of view, if I want to invest in asset in Lime( Middleast and Norway), I will go for Rex....if I want invest in the Australia assets in Hibiscus.... I can go for 3d oil.
This explain the depress share price of Hibiscus.....just my 2 cents.....

Hi Hhakim and Investoraa2006. I try to digest the latest AGM Investor presentation on May 6,2014.
On pg 9, they show the evolution of reserves and resources and the 2P and 2C production profile for the next 10 years.....On pg 11, they show the Bualuang field operating cost forecast...It seems the cost is expected to decrease fr nearly 80 Millions dollar from 2014 to 50 millions dollars in 2015 and 2016. Can u guys hv some insight on this?

@Investoraa2006, Sona is paying around 20 dollar per barrel of 2P and 13.6 dollar per barrel( assuming 50% 2C matured). In the oil and gas industry, is it consider a fair deal? Thanks.

Hi Hhakim, Bualuang produce 12000 barrel daily, 40% stake is 4800 barrel daily. This translate to 4800X 100 per barrel = Usd 480000 daily....usd 14.4 millions monthly....172.8 millions yearly. For 172.8 millions how much is the profit yearly? And what is the estimated pay back period for the initial 250 millions?
