But still, we need to maintain good political & diplomatic relations with India. We cannot afford to rub them up the wrong way. We cannot afford to take their business goodwill for granted.

If CPO reaches RM4,000+ per tonne again, like it once did in March 2008, I believe 60+ is not impossible.

I gv you one simple example, PrinceOfIpoh.
If you hv an average looking body, let'just say, which the majority of people do. You cannot just go to the gym ten hours every day for a week, then expect to come out looking like rambo, conan or the rock.
Nope. That just ain't how it works. And you might even end up busting something in you.
Time is part of the requirement. You cannot bypass that. You need to be working out constantly & passionately, but not too excessively at all, over a long enough period of time. Then you will eventually get a body that you like & want, within the limits that your natural inherited genetics permit.

PrinceOfIpoh, LOL.
Patience, young man. You must learn to cultivate this quality of patience in you.
If you can manage to do this thing, it can become the most powerful weapon in your life. You can then use it to overcome anything, or anyone.

CPO entering a profoundly exciting new phase.
Breaching all time high of RM4,298 per tonne (March 2008) is no more some distant pipe dream.
Could even happen well before end 2020.

My own personal belief, with rollout of B20 biodiesel policy, expansion of existing markets & promotion to new markets, some good damage control work with India, etc. CPO price could even approach or even surpass rm3,000 by Christmas next year.

Maybank's forecasts are over-conservative, I reckon. Very understandable for a big bank. They have a tendency to be extra cautious in their forecasting, becos they do not like to get caught on the wrong side. Not good for their professional reputation.
Price was already hitting the 2,300s couple months ago or so. So Maybank's 2020 forecast of rm2,300 is nothing special at all. Any Tan, Din or Hari from the nearest local coffee shop can do that.
