KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 23): Analysts on Wednesday (Feb 23) cut their earnings forecasts for Supermax Corp Bhd to reflect lower glove average selling prices (ASPs).

TA Securities' Tan Kong Jin said in a note that Supermax’s net profit for the first half ended Dec 31, 2021 (1HFY22) was below expectations as it was greatly affected by the imposition of the withhold release order (WRO) by the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and freezing of orders from the Canadian government.

“Following the earnings revision, we reduce our target price (TP) to 77 sen per share (previously RM1.22) based on an unchanged 14 times 2023 earnings per share (EPS). We reiterate our 'sell' recommendation on the stock,” he said.
