For nominees, since the shares are not in your name, you will have to get the broker to appoint you as their proxy for the number of shares you theoretically own. Then you will be able to vote at the EGM.

I share both good and bad news about this stock, scroll up for yourself. We have an upcoming vote on a mildly important issue and you as a non-shareholder, have no right to even be advising others on whether it is a bad thing or a good thing. Manipulating people for your own benefit is not in good faith as you say. Your credibility is out the window with most of these forumers, as you are completely one-sided. As with all of the various good news that has been coming out, you always find a reason to talk negative, whether relevant to the issue or not. This behavior makes your intentions obviously clear. You also shouldnt delete posts, it makes me look like I am talking to myself.

I was the one suggesting many forumers that bought at an extremely high price, to average down around 4 RM and at the same time you were here talking down about the gas strikes and promoting your palm oil counters just before skpetro went up 4%, then another 2%, and another 2%. You were quiet during that uptrend, but now that the share is stagnant, you are back spreading the same malarkey that you have been. You tell me who is and who is not contributing in good faith. I wish you luck on accumulating your skpetro shares below 2 RM ("10-12 PE").

There are better ways to motivate/retain employees without it coming at the cost of the shareholders.

upsidedown119, although I do respect your opinion, you currently dont own any skpetro shares. I wish you wouldnt try to persuade other shareholders into thinking in terms of a non-shareholder. Of course non-shareholders want bad things to happen to a company so they can thrive as a competitor or be a prospective shareholder at a discounted price. You have been talking a lot of rubbish about this particular counter for whatever reason that will benefit yourself.

Let me note, I do understand that there are restrictions on eligibility of executives and independent directors. Although, behind the scenes, many things can happen for them to find loopholes.

myky67: As a business owner, I do like the idea of an ESOS used to motivate the employees, in general. However, I do not like how SKPetro is going about it, and I can assume most of these newly issued shares are going to go to the executives and directors of the company. Seems to me, this is a way for them to pocket some kopi money. Before they implement a ESOS, I suggest they implement a dividend (I also think implementing a dividend is a bad idea) or raise the par-value price per share. These newly issued shares will dilute our shares because they are issuing these new shares at 1.00 RM per share. I will vote down this proposal personally, but you can draw your own conclusions as to why they are really proposing this scheme and then make your own decision accordingly.

To attack someone, at least know what you are talking about. I used to work at a big fund in the US. Our system had algorithms to instantaneously filter through search engines to pick up hints of when to buy and sell based off of the trending data the public gives. Learn to not open your mouth unless you know what you are talking about.

You can also check out page 276 of the Annual Report, Analysis of Shareholdings, for the top 30 shareholders as of April 30th, 2014. Thats probably more what you are looking for.

For EPF and Amanah Saham look in the SKPetro company announcements on this site. For other smaller funds and institutions, you can try 3rd party sites such as morningstar.com

Well you must look at the facts first and then draw your own conclusions. The facts are; there was a recent shares issue which dilutes the shares of the other shareholders, EPF has been selling which could mean that they wanted to put their money elsewhere or that they were temporarily helping with the support of the share so it doesnt drop too much too quickly (they still are long on this share at 12.74% ownership), and you also have the shariah compliance of SKPetro that has been a hot topic which has been making this share fluctuate dramatically. You have to keep in mind that these big funds also like to push up and down prices for manipulation reasons as well so they can either buy lower or sell higher. The psychology of the market is hard for retail investors to understand since we have no manipulation power, but you have to always analyze the facts.

Well I only have my own personal target prices, and those are kept secret.

If anything, 4.04 should be the bottom, both times when they tried to push this share low, they couldnt push it past 4.04 coincidentally. On March 17th and May 26th.
