Albert, I didn't follow Lim Pei Tim because I think Liihen has higher profit margin and is more generous in paying out dividends. PE not much difference but Liihen's dividend yield is way much higher.

Hi Sheldon, it is already mentioned in the AR 2017 that the 600 stations include those owned by sister company. It is not a bad thing though as it will make sure that the demand exceeded Petron refinery's output.

Further more, other airlines such as Air India is facing great trouble. If Air India business cannot be sustainable, a lot of pilots and staff may get retrenched. I think there is a political will to help these people to find a job in other airlines and a fast growing Airasia India is just in need.

The ultimate purpose of law is to pursue maximum happiness for the people. Sometime, this could mean beyond justice (100% justice can never be achieved). That's why I think that is not impossible if the Government of India is a government that serves the people.

If Airasia India close down, nobody wins. Indian is going to loose big. All the employees are going to loose job and the citizen in India cannot enjoy cheap flights. So it is likely that it can be settled at more favorable terms.

(Dunno why I somehow relate this to Modi's visit to Malaysia recently... I believe he may seek the greater benefit for India... purely my own imagination.)

EPF buy a lot recently. I think the price is supported by EPF. If EPF is buying, it may be a hint that Tony has got the support from our Government. Just my two cents.

The HLG comment is like LGE's talk. The target price can be so much different within a quarter. Utterly untrustworthy.

Hi Tony, I vote against MO1, but I believe you are a good man. You could have received far more for silently reduce or not increasing the flights. I choose to believe you and hold the shares no matter it is going up or down. If there is a cost to do so, so be it.

Selling is not wise. It only punishes minor shareholders but never Tony. Think. If we boycott also it hurts jobs of many innocent. Wait for him to response. What if he try to repair and then got support from new government? Not possible? So why should we pay for it?

Will it be a wrong doing for Transport Minister to hold substantial AA shares? He might decide all Gov Servants to fly with AA. I'd welcome that as it saves our tax money and bring more earnings to us minor shareholders.

As Mahathir said, don't listen to what a man says, but what he did. He pujuk N in front but get as much PH voters back to overthrow him. Not everyone can afford an expensive ticket to vote as many of the Rakyat is already struggling in paying bills. Because of this he actually has helped PH a lot. I think BN would rather pay him more not to offer so many flights... haha.

Tony looks sad and not excited in the video. He must have been under threats to o this. If he really support Najib he wouldn't make extra cheap flights to travel voters back to vote lah. He must have irritated BN and to give tribute to be pardoned. Please don't be too harsh on him lah.

The problem with this counter is not about earning, but low dividend payout ratio. This is also one of the main factors of high volatility of share price. Share price tends to roller coaster when it is 30 times the dividend per share.

Under "What We Offer --> Our Products", one can also find Petron Diesel Euro 5 with a sulfur content of 6 ppm, far below the 10 ppm required by Euro 5 standard. If Petronm is able to produce Diesel Euro 5 and distribute to 70 of its Petrol Station, why it can't produce fuel oil that has sulfur content less than 0.5%? By the way, 6 ppm is 0.0006%.

Explanation in Petronm website https://www.petron.com.my/web/site/slider/20 under Port Dickson Refinery tab paragraph #4 says
"Crude (predominantly light low sulfur crudes) is imported and processed to produce a wide range of petroleum products that includes Gasoline (U95), Jet fuel, Diesel, LPG, and Low-Sulphur Waxy Residue (LSWR)."

I have questions regarding to the blog dated 3rd Feb with the title "Difference between Petronm and Hengyuan". It says Petronm's refinery is a simple one which is suitable to process only sweet crude which is more expensive. However, WTI is currently far cheaper than the Brent Crude and yet WTI contains a lot less sulfur than Brent Crude. Also, it says that Petronm is currently unable to produce fuel oil that contain not more than 0.5% sulfer. But WTI contains only 0.24% sulfur and assuming that Petronm is using WTI, how can the fuel oil it produced contains more than 0.5% sulfur? Can someone here explain? Thank you.
