prersonally don't think privatization. could be some major corporate exercise or major project that would be announced soon.

the nta is 1.59 but with the land at carey island revalued , will be much much more.

agreed that VT/BjCorp image and public perception is not great after all the years of cyclical fortunes and share price for the BJgroup because of bad investments and heavy debt situation. Will the management consolidate, disposed under performing assets and cut down debts so that earnings / dividends improved from now on ??? A very big question mark???
But at this price , I think its worth a punt given that there are some strong assets and brands within the group together with some duds...

cfoong made a very good point. Even in very bad market, BJ drop to only 0.47. So assuming it will drop to 0.47 again, what is ur risk . 10% ? versus the upside of 70, 80 or 1.00. To me it sounds like a perfect punt with fantastic risk v reward ratio . All the best everyone invested.
