Kumpulan Perangsang Records Net Profit Of RM61.18 Mln For FY17
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 (Bernama) -- Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Bhd recorded a net profit of RM61.18 million for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2017 (FY17).
It said FY17's profit before tax (PBT) and net profit fell to RM68.23 million and RM61.18 million respectively, from last year's RM113.02 million and RM101.86 million due to a one-off realised gain from assets held for disposal in 2016 of RM97.5 million.
"PBT improved significantly in FY17, by 341 per cent, to RM68.2 million, compared to normalised PBT of RM15.5 million in FY16," Kumpulan Perangsang said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.
Revenue soared 151 per cent to RM362.02 million for FY17 from RM144.49 million last year.
The increase in revenue was mainly due to full-year revenue of RM174.2 million from its manufacturing segment, namely Century Bond Bhd, coupled with higher revenue from licensing and trading sectors by RM17.5 million and RM15.9 million, respectively.
Moving forward, Chief Executive Officer, Ahmad Fariz Hassan, said the company has started to see the fruits of the strategic initiatives under it business transformation plan.
"We have hit the ground running in the new year by kickstarting the new business model for King Koil which will see its first manufacturing plant in Arizona, US, starting operations in the second quarter," he said.

STATE GOVT MOVING CLOSER TO A DEAL WITH FED!!!
Yesterday, KPS opened with a slight gap-up of 1sen at 1.41.
In the 2nd half, it successfully broke through the resistance of 1.42 before closing firmly at 1.43.
Technical Indicators: -
1) STOCHASTIC(%K) - Indicates a 'BUY' signal.
2) MACD - Moving up towards the zero line & positive zone. Uptrend signal.
3) RESISTANCE - (i) R1 = 1.47; (ii) R2 = 1.52;
4) SUPPORT - (i) S1 = 1.41; (ii) S2 = 1.38;
Can the bulls continue to push up and breach the resistance at 1.47 and beyond?
Let's see how it pans out today.....

KPS has formed a symmetrical triangle since its initial breakout on 16/3/17.

The latest announcement from Bank Negara Malaysia on the economic performance of Malaysia in 1st Quarter of 2017 had definitely took many with shock as GDP is recorded at 5.6%, which is way above the expectation of many, including analyst. The growth is very attributable with manufacturing and exports of E&E related goods.
There is no doubt that a lot of Malaysian company that are focused in export market are seeing turnaround in their company, while many of them are reaping huge profits during this period of time as well.
Since the export market is so good, then we will definitely need to look at the segment which are inter related with the export market, and preferably the supply chain of the export market.
When we talk about export, we will talk about logistic, and it will then go down to packaging and warehousing. For logistic, I believe this theme had been looked into for the past 2 months, as we had see how share price of Gdex, Century and Complet had risen.
As for me, I think there would still be hidden gems laying around in the packaging industry.
In fact, the packaging industry had been hotly targeted for the past 1 year. We had seen the take over and privatization of Century Bond, the take over offer of Denko (food packaging). This is just to name a few, and there are a few more out there which I will let you to do your own homework in researching those out.

Last year play export this year play passport!!

Technically, the trend has reversed back up and it's time to revisit 1.44 again.
A break above this level will certainly push it to 1.56 and beyond :-)

It needs to cover the gap at 1.43 - 1.44 :-)

As anticipated, today's market was extremely volatile as can be seen by the steep corrections faced by MYEG & PRESBHD..but the strong fundamentals & explosive speculative flavours in Dsonic managed to curb its downside!

I bought today, once it crossed 2M volume. On my calculation today 8M already achieved. Should be better day tmr onward.

I was waiting at 1.46 and 1.47. Because at 1.45 CCB, Datuk, Nenek, Tan Sri, Tun and bigmama will buy. So I take my chances today. Definely will up..just round the corner.... timing....i just try my best....it's not exact science you know! and no formular too.
