I believe Mr Ooi would have read through DK66's articles on the power plant and found them to have essence and would probably share it with his big client Uncle Koon ( if Mr Koon himself has yet to read them ). Who knows at any moment one of these days Mr Ooi together with Uncle Koon might decide to shift some of their funds over to JAKS ( but dont over sailang please , haha, as it will scare the CEO ) , if they find JAKS has TA + FA . If there is lucrative $$$$$ to make, why not ? With their funds over here, JAKS will move north faster and catch up with MFCB . We, the ikan bilis , tumpang the boat & sail with the wind and make our $$$$$ too, say RM 100,000 to few hundred thousand !! Win-win situation ma . Let us hope and pray this situation will happen soon .

Agreed with you, DK66.
As long as the result obtained is not materially distorted, it is OK.
after all it is only for projection of potential of the power plant .

There is nothing wrong with using a mean value in doing long term value projection

Perhaps the question of whether the profit is "real" or "not real" does not arise at all, unless it is a cooked up ( faked) profit.
In basic accounting concept , Income minus expenses = profit
The second part is the utilization of profit .
It can be used for, say :-
1. distribution to shareholders as dividends
2. used for further capex ( on further acquisition of assets)
3 for further capital investment in another company/venture
and so on
We cant say the profit is not "real" if it is used for purpose No. 3 .
The profit will still have an incremental effect on EPS

The construction profit earned during the construction period and recognized in the income statement , although may not be available for dividend declaration to the shareholders due to its being deployed elsewhere, will however still have an incremental effect on the EPS of the company .

Net profit is the accounting net profit as shown in the income statement.
If the Board of Directors decide to recommend to distribute part of or all of the net profit and is approved by the shareholders ( at AGM ) , then it becomes payable as dividend and it becomes a debt due to the shareholders by the company .
Board of Directors may have the power to declare interim dividend(s) in accordance with its Constitution ( meaning without having to go through shareholders approval ).
Hope my explanation will help .

When Mr Ooi says " There is no real construction profit ", he means to say the construction profit earned during the construction period will be shown in the income statement of Jaks but the money will be used to top up the 30% capital ( as investment in the JV venture ) as agreed . Correct me if i am wrong , Mr Ooi

DK66, maybe u can find out from Jaks Office when is the CEO's next Vietnam power plant site inpection visit so that our trip can match his visit . It will be more interesting to meet him there so that we can get on the spot up-to-date info from him personally on site Since we are all JAKS shareholders , he should agree.

since we r Jaks shareholders ( whether small or big ) , i ve a suggestion here . We organise a trip to Vietnam ( at our own expense ) to visit the power plant site to see with our own eyes the development progress . People like DK66, ICON8888 ( the early promoter of JAKS) , Sharifah and others interested can think about it . Treat it as holiday trip ma and also to get to know each other since we ve common interest in JAKS . What do u say, DK66 ? Think about it . Uncle KYY & OTB went with CEO in early stage of development ( i think their trip was sponsored by company )

I also hope that those who still have doubts and uncertainties on Jaks potential n prospects in the coming years will ve a clearer picture now after reading your articles . Those with holding power .
Unsure if our uncle KYY ( who was unfortunately outplayed by JAKS CEO) has been "secretly " reading n digesting ( maybe double checking ) your recent articles on the power plant !! haha
