Second most overused word in malaysia. The first being integrity.
Digital is not just about spending millions on IT system but being able to harness all tools to do better and faster work including automatically generating reports bills etc
Malaysian govt have yet to master the basic digital tool which is email and internet. Our govt website is all over the place and not cordinated or combined. For ref see uk .gov website. All govt website is in one big Mama set up and linked well

Would be wonderful if it could become a reality. To imagine having the right people in place is a nice dream. But those 'old warlords' are stubbornly and annoyingly sticking around. They just don't go away no matter how we wish them to disappear. But perhaps there is hope with the younger voters, as yet untainted by theUMNO brainwashing and who hopefully, will become more aware and understand why Malaysia can be great if we just could see beyond race.

BACK to Kleptocracy Back to the dark era,INTIMIDATION OF DISSIDENTS HAS ALREADY STARTED, TO SILENT THE VOICES OF THE RAKYAT. 3R sensitivities n defamation lawsuits would
be highlighted as a fear factor to curb the voices of reprimand of the corruption in this returning Kleptocracy. WHITE TERROR is in the creation to dumb the people n to protect the corrupted crooks, those charged with corruption will be set free one by one n not many would dare to speak out.

Thank you for poking holes in it
The new Finance Minister is long of publicity and shorty on substance
He is a PR guru , all will look good but nothing will happen
Looks like PN govt want to look like there is so many new initiatives being rolled out , hence the 40++ numbers but mostly are re runs and ineffective
most important is missing, guranteed minimum payment to all household in Malaysia below certain numbers , instead on BRIM, BPN, BROOM, SAPU, MINTAK, sedekah , penjana, pembinasa and all
Just pay RM1.500 to each poor household every month , means tested, not to pensioners who have ten houses and earning massive income sitting on company boards

Wall Street plunges with biggest one-day loss since March 16
All three major U.S. stock indexes fell by more than five percent, recording their worst day in weeks.
It came as investors reacted to pandemic resurgence fears and digested dour economic forecasts from the U.S. Federal Reserve.
The CBOE volatility index <.VIX>, a barometer of investor anxiety, posted its largest one-day point gain since March 16.
Here is how it looks:
- The Dow dropped 1,861.8 points or 6.9% to end at 25,128,
- The S&P 500 slid 188 points or 5.9% to 3,002.1.
- The Nasdaq closed 527.6 points lower or 5.2% at 9,492.7.
NEW YORK: Wall Street plummeted on Thursday as investors reacted to renewed fears of a pandemic resurgence and digested dour economic forecasts from the U.S. Federal Reserve.
All three major U.S. stock indexes lost well over 5%, posting their worst one-day percentage drops since March 16, when markets were sent into freefall by the abrupt economic lockdowns put in place to contain the pandemic. The Nasdaq snapped a three-day streak of record closing highs.
The sell-off was broad, with all 11 major sectors of the S&P 500 falling from nearly 4% to well over 9%.
"There's really no buy point," said Paul Nolte, portfolio manager at Kingsview Asset Management in Chicago. "It's pretty much selling all the way through."
Tim Ghriskey, chief investment strategist at Inverness Counsel in New York, agreed.
"Everything's for sale," Ghriskey added. "There's fear we're near a top."
Deaths of Americans from COVID-19 could reach 200,000 in September, a grim result of the United States' economic re-opening before getting growth of new cases down to a controllable level, according to a leading health expert.
At the conclusion of its two-day monetary policy meeting on Wednesday, the U.S. Federal Reserve released its first pandemic-era economic outlook, after which Chair Jerome Powell warned of a "long road" to recovery.
"The Fed keeping rates steady through 2022 could give investors the impression that the Fed may be more concerned about the pace of economic recovery than originally anticipated," said Joseph Sroka, chief investment officer at NovaPoint in Atlanta.
Economic data appeared to back up the Fed's gloomy economic projections, with jobless claims still more than double their peak during the Great Recession and continuing claims at an astoundingly high 20.9 million.
A year-on-year drop in core producer prices also reflected the central bank's disinflationary concerns.

One of the reasons that the Dollar is the world's reserve currency is because that everyone can use it freely. In recent times, the US has been recklessly misusing its power by barring this or that country from the SWIFT system. This has undermined the very system the US created. Barring China would send the current system on the road to ruin. China would be hurt, but would cope, and would also accelerate the decline of the USD.

When Huawei's CFO madam Meng set foot in canada was she prepared for the trap canada and america had set for her? She wasn't, neither was Huawei, and neither was the Chinese gov. Don't rest on laurels, China, make preparations NOW. The cynicism coming from america and its western lackeys has no respect for any SWIFT payment system. As long as that "nuclear" button is capable of being pressed, this lot will not need a second invitation.

If UK is so racist, then why did so many Asian investors pour so much into UK real estate?
2020-06-03 12:40 | Report Abuse
It should be made clear that some of these are reports of racism in the UK are actually by people who are not white. For example the Birmingham incident was perpetrated out by black persons. The report makes it out like all the perpetrators are white, and that is misleading.
If you are going to accuse the British of racism, you should also acknowledge the racism that exists in Hong Kong against foreign looking people too.

For the good health of all rakyat or be cursed to hell if there is another wave like Japan, Singapore etc. Would he think and act differently if he is the Minister of Health. Yes, the economy is very important but as many have said, is life of a worker cheaper than the profit for the businessman and taxes for the government??? Yea, you can say comply with SOP. The SOP is flipping and many F&B outlets are fuming mad. Common, let's be frank. Is the enforcement going to be fair and not prejudiced? We have seen how the poor was jailed and fined to the max but the rich and well connected were treated differently. I hope this coronavirus opens the eyes of all Malaysians and will not to easily be swayed by slogans and lies. Punish those by kicking them out in the next GE.

I am also simply find it amazing in Azmin’s wordy statement, not once did he mention the Health Ministry. As far as the rakyat is concerned, we want the Health Ministry to take the lead in making decisions involving our health.....

"This decision was taken with the utmost care, caution and responsibility supported by data and findings by the Finance Ministry, International Trade and Industry Ministry, Bank Negara and Khazanah Nasional Berhad," said the minister in charge of the economic cluster, Azmin Ali.
The above statement is exactly why the public is doubtful on the decision to ease MCO to allow businesses to operate. There appears to be no input nor involvement from the Health Ministry. If a business closes down or goes bankrupt, it can reopen again. But a life is lost, it’s gone forever.

Even though the licence to operate many industries comes from federal ministries, you can’t open any business or manufacturing plant without the local council approval.
Which means the local council can impose conditions. Good luck with suing the state governments. You will be in court until the next Covid appears.
